Diabolik DVD has a pre-order price for Belladonna at $24.99. I think I'll buy it from them.

Amazon's price is almost always $24.99 by the time it actually releases - and their pre-order price guarantee means you'll pay the lowest price at time of release.

Saw Belladonna today at the Metrograph here in New York! Incredible experience! Thank You Cinelicious for restoring this wonderful subversive film.

Spiffnme: do you know who owns the rights to THE HAUNTING OF JULIA / FULL CIRCLE?

I would also suggest including the link to your BELLADONNA book in your signature.

A few more suggestions:
BLOOD ON SATAN'S CLAW - (Odeon released a blu-ray, but it appears a bit like a very good upconvert - could use a proper HD upgrade)

ABSOLUTION (1978) - imdb link here. Someone in the late 1970's found this and FULL CIRCLE when digging for films that were shelved and unreleased in the US.

and there is always the 2 episodes of THE WORLD BEYOND:

Seems Kino has already released a blu-ray of Absolution.

I'll pass your other suggestions on to our acquisitions team. Keep the suggestions coming folks. We're always looking for a new forgotten gem. We'd particularly love to be able to add a great thriller/horror title to our library.

I would kill! for Kill! (1971) starring Jean Seberg, James Mason and Stephen Boyd. It'd make a great double-feature with Birds in Peru, both directed by her husband/ex Romain Gary. A report on the tragic train-wreck of their lives would make one hell of an extra. (Birds is considered "lost" but has been aired on French TV within the past few years. Kill! hasn't seen an English-language release since VHS.)

What about some of the works of Sergio Citti? "Ostia", "Bawdy Tales", "Casotto", "Il Minestrone", "Vipera"????

Aside from PRIVATE PROPERTY, another great "lost 1960's noir" film is ANGEL'S FLIGHT (1965), which was filmed all over Bunker Hill in LA when it was jus about to be demolished. ANGEL' FLIGHT aired once on a Los Angeles PBS TV station a few years ago. It's a wonderful low-budget attempt to make a film about a female serial killer. Way down in the supporting cast is "Rhue" McLanahan as a barfly.

Another voice for Angel's Flight.
I saw it in film school once decades ago and remember it being quite good.

For some reason, I have never heard of Kill! but it sounds fascinating.

Is there any chance you might acquire any Eurospy titles?

There are so many great EuroSpy flicks languishing on poor DVDs... or not at all. It's about time that someone got hold of them and gave them a revival.

I know Dorado Films has some great EuroSpy stuff on their roster and would like to do more but they don't seem to have the cash to make magic happen with proper restorations.

Since I'm given the permission, here goes...

In Japan, the Art Theater Guild released a Blu-ray box set featuring three films of Shuji Terayama - do yourself a favor, click on the wiki link! Sadly, no English subtitles. If ONLY some people were interested in experimental/surreal/visionary masterpieces from the 1970s in Japan... (wink) For the record, he's also directed about 15 short films.

I'd also like to suggest any Italian peplum film of 50s-60s.
Of course there are loads of them and it would be hard to pick one.
But I love this genre and unfortunately it's not represented at all on Bluray!

Perhaps Arrivano I Titani (AKA The Titans, AKA My Son, The Hero)? This one tickles my fancy because its English dub played things up for laughs, essentially making a second feature. The American trailer was narrated by Mel Brooks.

Dear Cinelicious, i see in your site criterion among your clients.
http://cinelicious.tv/film-restoration
Does that mean you have done restoration work for them? i didn't know. Which films?

by the way, seeing your screenshots of belladonna, i kept thinking how marvellous it'd be if you had done Fantastic Planet too.

Is the first print of the regular edition book with the Belladonna of Sadness Blu-ray disc exclusive to that webshop, or is it also included with the book sold elsewhere like Amazon?
