If you liked VIGILANTE, in many ways WALKING THE EDGE is like an L.A. variation on that film. Forster, Spinell, some very nasty violence and a Jay Chattaway score.

Don't watch the trailer, though, as it's very spoiler-heavy.

Yes, it's great. It oozes style, has a cool, slightly cartoonish story and a bit of Jami Gertz. Great transfer too. Highly recommended.

It was one I held off on for a bit. I don't really like mob or drug type movies in general. But this one is different. I wish I hadn't waited to pick it up. Vincent Spano is very good as Johnny. Michael Winslow just about steals the show and like WillieConway mentions, you get to see Jami Gertz as Johnny's younger sister. It's a great addition to any collection

The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz would be an amazing acquisition. Brilliant comedy with perhaps Richard Dreyfuss’ finest performance. Held by CBS/Paramount

And you can still visit Wilensky's in Montreal and have a grilled bologna sandwich (Wilensky Special) just like in Duddy's day. So good...

Ha! Yes, you can. I saw an exhibit on Mordecai Richler the last time I was there. They even had his typewriter out.

Ted Kotcheff is great. His autobiography is awesome, and I love his commentaries.
