I submitted a ticket since I was having issues and their customer service responded and fixed it for me right away.

Yeah, I dont buy it for a second. Whomever he heard it from is mistaken or BS'ing him. ...and while people have tried to cheat the system (in this case with the help of a willing cashier) I'm not risking it. I use MP for most of my movies, and the occasional IMAX or 3D I want to see I pay for with the Stubs rewards I earned from all the other tickets.

I wish they had an 'Eilte' moviepass or something of the sort that allowed IMAX/Dolby/3D. Id pay extra for that.

if you check in by accident and not buy the ticket, does that count as a purchase?

If it wasn't an e-ticket, no. After 30 minutes it will automatically revoke the funds and cancel the check in. You'll still be able to check in for that day.

1. Ring in 1 ticket by itself. (IMAX $18)
2. Select split payment type.
3. Ring in $12 for 1x normal 2D ticket since that is the price. They will swipe movie pass card from customer.
4. Ask for payment for the remaining $6.

This way if there is an issue they can refund $6 to you and the other refund goes back to movie pass card.

This is against MP rules and may result in the user getting banned by MP

As a user, do this at your own risk

You guys do the IMAX work-around right? Check in to a non-imax show, purchase an IMAX ticket with the card and pay the difference with a personal credit card. I do this at the kiosk only. I don't even try it with the actual workers (even though they wouldn't care probably).

IMAX work-arounds sound like abuse of TOS. I'd care more about IMAX if the closest one weren't a 90-100 minute round trip away.

They have been emailing feedback surveys.

One of the questions I got was how much more would I be willing to pay per month for a 3D or Imax movie.

They should just add the cost, I wonder how much work it would take to add that feature where you personally pay the difference each time.

There would have to be 2 different tiers if they went that route.

I'd drop the service before paying more just so I can see IMAX.

I don't like IMAX or 3D films.

That’s not a work around it’s against the intended way you’re supposed to use the service. Also against the terms of usage.

Some reason when I went to go and see Paddington 2 today. the app wouldn't load on my phone. Just did that spinny thing like it was loading.

I turned off the phone and then turned it back on. I turned off my location and then back on. I did the same for Data. And nothing worked. It was getting close to showtime. So I just bite the bullet and paid out of pocket.

I get back home and try it and it loaded the theaters to choose. So I don't know what was going on. I don't think a rain storm can affect it can it?

Mod's please delete those comments about how to violate the TOS. I am sure there are *work arounds* but that's not what the thread is about.

So I was at my local theater to see The Post last night and noticed during check in they were playing some Bollywood movie called Agnyaathavasasi Prince in Exile....but it was grayed out. It's not 3d/imax/RPX... and it was actually cheaper than the regular price of admissions to see the Post. What gives?
