That's like the guy that comes outta nowhere and bolts into a pedestrian crossing during a green light and then shakes his fist at the traffic for not reacting fast enough.
I don't outright disagree with you here, logically, one should take great care about seeing spoilers when in a thread is on a certain topic when a release of that topic is fresh, BUT...

Remember Breaking Bad? This was like a miracle of internet etiquette that I sometimes think will never be seen again (except for with it's spinoff show). There was a huge, simply understood, agreement that nobody left open spoilers online for weeks after an episode aired. It was pretty miraculous.

Really just ruminating here.

There’s no point attaching any meaning to the title. It’s just a way of marketing it because they know they’re planning to make more films so don’t want to call it "The Complete Saga" again.
Rogue One is out because the movie simply isn't about the Skywalkers, despite a cameo (and probably one of the greatest single Kathleen Kennedy redemption moment).

The final scene only served to link the events into the timeline.

The bonus features are the main point of contention for me, especially since stuff that deliberately wasn't included included on the 2011 Blu-ray box (most notably "The Beginning" from Ep. I's DVD release) is apparently here.

Fortunately, "The Beginning" and other documentaries are freely available on YouTube or previous releases.

Unless there's enough positive word of mouth post-release, I'll be skipping the box and purchasing Rogue One, Empire Strikes Back, Force Awakens and Rise Of Skywalker individually.

Not looking forward to the upscaling of Eps. II and III, so I'll be skipping the Prequel Trilogy entirely. And from what I hear, Ep. I's PQ is still not where it should be. I don't know if there's ever been a home video edition of TPM beyond VHS that didn't have some kind of odd PQ quirk (pink tint, edge enhancement, DNR, Puppet Yoda removal, etc.)

This was actually a good thing.

That's gonna be a hard no. Disney can stay far way from DC.

I don't think Disney are doing a bad job personally.
I have to agree with you on this, overall Disney Star Wars has been far better than I expected.

TLJ reminds me of Empire, a decent, at best movie with some really epic moments.

TFA, while being kind of samey when it comes to episode 4 was still really good, possibly the most fun movie of the entire sequel trilogy, though 9 was just a blast IMO. Both spinoff movies were also fantastic, with Solo being unfortunate to be the one released right after TLJ, and being the subject of the fan boycott. Rogue One is one of the best Star Wars movies period.

Most of those steelbooks came out in April/August and were not on sale until the Christmas holidays. Which you cannot count since EVERYTHiNG is on sale. Again, $30 is not expensive. No more than that $!0 dollar cup of coffee people buy on a daily/weekly basis.
I live in Canada and use the Canadian Peso, even our Starbucks coffees aren't 10$, if I bought coffee every day of the work week, day 5 would breach the 10$ mark.

How did you pre-order it at £150? On day one it was £180.

I have Ep 1 theatrical on JP LD and US VHS, Eps 2 & 3 on DVD (I believe 2 even had a change for the first home edition), and the OT on the THX 'Faces' LDs (though I have heard that the earlier editions had better PQ but were more likely to have rot). Then the Disney ones on UK 3D editions.
Star Wars purists are funny creatures, they all have this idea that the version they grew up with are the original untouched versions.

If you didn't see Star Wars (later retitled to A New Hope) within three weeks of it's theatrical release, in theaters, you did not see the original version, it was changed by Lucas before it was finished it's original theatrical run.

If you go through the whole checkout process it is £150 after the VAT is removed.

I think Episode II on DVD was a straight port of the digital theatrical version, but I'm not 100% on that-- I only saw the film-print version of the movie theatrically.
I remember the marketing campaign for it being the "first perfect clone"

But... The many improved and added visual effects (for the most part) do enhance the movies IMO.
I don't care about any of that or the nooooo. Anakin's "nooooo" when he finds out about Padme in ROTS is much worse. The only thing that bothers me is the dated CGI in ANH, the Jabba the Hut scene is awful because Jabba is totally the wrong size and Han says, "you're a wonderful human being Jabba." Ugh.

Maybe I'm just being thick but don't Americans pay VAT? The price in the UK was £180 and if I go through checkout it's £180. Now £199.99.

Not directly. However, we do have sales tax. 180 pounds there here would be $231.86 here and then we would add whatever percentage your state sales tax is. So, if it was 7% (my state) it would be $248.09. Your price converted is $257.61, which is almost $10 higher.

Americans don't pay VAT on European purchases and Europeans don't pay sales tax on American purchases. The difference is that in the United States sales tax is not included in the listed price, it is added at checkout and varies wildly by state, county, and city.

Most states have a use tax when sales tax is not paid, but people rarely pay it and it's practically never enforced.

VAT is included in the listed price. People in the UK will pay exactly £180 (~$231.77). People in the US will pay £150 (~$193.14) and are supposed to pay a use tax equal to their local sales tax. In your state you would pay $193.14 at the time of purchase and are supposed to pay $13.52 in taxes later. That equals $206.66 total.

Yes, we do. In my case it's 19% German import sales tax, if the item costs > 22 EUR. And from 2021 going forward, it'll be 19% ALWAYS. Yay.
