To piggyback off of this. I love X-Men Origins: Wolverine

And so I guess my unpopular opinion wasn't that unpopular being top spot in that list. It really is a great horror for anyone who hasn't checked it out.

I don't disagree with you its probably the best of the year or one of the best but as i said it hasn't been a great year for horror movies, so the bar isn't too high.

Though, i didn't dislike Talk to Me, it must be on that conversation too.

I enjoyed the film too but my friend that I went with didn't care for it. Bottom line, it was a bleak horror film that went under the radar which is unfortunate.

Kung Pow: Enter The Fist is a legitimately genius satire of the chopped up messes that were "Americanizations" of Chinese/Japanese films as well as the works of Godfrey Ho.

Stuff like Kill Bill payed "loving tribute" to stuff like Shogun Assassin, Kung Pow laughes in it's face for the massive butchering of the Lone Wolf and Cub films it was.

I think Last Stand and Dark Phoenix are okay. I think Wolverine Origins and Apocalypse are shockers.

I've enjoyed all the X-Men films and they are part of my video library.

Unpopular opinions:

Focused on unpopular or underrated films.

Boxcar Bertha and New York, New York are both pretty darn good films.

One From the Heart is a good film.

Some of Woody's less-regarded films, like Whatever Works or The Curse of the Jade Scorpion or To Rome With Love, I still find quite watchable.

The House That Jack Built is a twisted masterpiece.

Some unpopular Jack Nicholson films that I think deserve more attention:

The King of Marvin Gardens (1972)
The Fortune (1975)
The Passenger (1975)
The Missouri Breaks (1976)
The Last Tycoon (1976)
The Border (1982)
Heartburn (1986)
Ironweed (1987)
The Crossing Guard (1995)
Blood and Wine (1997)
The Pledge (2001)

The last one isn't really unpopular. You don't need the word twisted in there. It's a masterpiece plain and simple.

Yes, it is. It was released theatrically on January 6, 2023. The premiere was in Los Angeles in December of 2022. But the rest of the country couldn't see it until 2023.

The Last Stand >> Any of Bryan Singer's films

I mean, Last Stand isn't that good either but at least it let itself feel like a comic at times.

Kevin Spacey's best performance was as Lex Luthor in "Superman Returns."

I think Jack is good in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, A Few Good Men, and Chinatown.
I can’t stand his Shining performance because it required more nuance before the descent into madness (read the book). Other than that he just plays himself in every role. Practically no range at all.

I think the Rocket scenes are touching and heartfelt. Other than that the (for me) jokes don’t land and there is tonal whiplash between the two.
