You are kidding, right? Because Movie Thanos looks exactly and sounds like what Thanos should look and sound like.

Because I don't feel I can trust that absolutely everyone will be good about using spoiler tags, I'm checking out of this topic until after Saturday evening!

I hope everyone has a great time at the movies these next couple of days. I'll come and vote in the poll either late Saturday or early Sunday.

It kinda sucks, I'm waiting on a friend to see if they can join me at a screening tonight, if they bail, I'm going to have to go alone .

Not that I mind, but it'd be weird looking over at strangers and high fiving them on the good parts

Yup, he had those same eyes in post end credits The Avengers though.

I thought that TWS suffered from horrible expository scenes, and the cinematography/editing during the fight scenes made the action incomprehensible in places. I hate excessively tight framing and edits that render images a blur.

I dunno how I'd place it. I'd have to watch the 3 back to back to back to be sure. For now it's

1. TWS
2. Avengers
3. Guardians

Just got back from watching it. A very fun and enjoyable movie. Batista was pretty damn good in it.

[Show spoiler]The only thing I did not like (not a big nitpick) about the movie was that everyone talked about how dangerous and crazy Ronin was, but it didn't really show in the movie. It somewhat felt like Malekith from Thor 2, but in this case, more of the back story was fleshed out a little bit more. That seems to be my main flaw with the MCU are the villians. Villian wise I was more interested in Nebula.

I also thought that Chris Pratt's acting in a couple of scenes, he was just overacting. Yes, I know this is supposed to be over the top, but I just felt like he was slightly off sometimes.

Marked out for that Thanos appearance!!!!!!!

The Winter Soldier was a better film to me, but man GOTG was just a boatload of fun. Excellent job by James Gunn.

I finally got to see this last night. My most anticipated movie of the 2014.

It was..... pretty good~ Not as great as I wanted it to be. Actually... my unrealistic expectations probably spoiled it a bit. I was expecting gut bursting laughs and epic battle sequences that would match the Avengers. It didn't deliver on that end. However it was still a great time at the movies.

The 2 hour runtime just wizzes through and I left the theater craving more.

Cons:
[Show spoiler]- I HATED that end battle with Ronan. Seriously...? Instigating a Dance Off to distract him? For a cold blooded no-bulls***t villan, he would stand there for 2 minutes letting you dance in front of him (when he dosen't even know what a dance-off is), and delay destroying a planet he has been yearning for years and years? Would Drax delay annhilating Ronan or Thanos (if he had the power) if they started dancing? Lazy script writing. If Rocket ran out and made a cuddly adorable face and started to hump Star Lord's leg, that would be just as rediculous but at least more entertaining.

- The characters get to tell us their sad backstories.TELL US through dialouge, and not show us. I'm not asking for a 10 minute sequence devoted to each Guardian. But like... when Rocket tells us how he was experimented and put together, a quick 30 sec. montage of him in a surgery room, with him screaming in agony couldn't have been too much to ask. Gamora - like a 30 sec. scene where her people and her parents are dead on the floor with her scared (or emotionless) and Thanos reaching for her hand. Drax- am almost dying Drax, looking as Ronan walks away after killing his family - 10-15 seconds MAX.

- Some scenes were actually funnier in the trailer. "I have part of a plan" comes to mind, and a few more

- Drax was pretty 1-Dimensional and not as cool as he could have been. Well... then lets make jokes at his expense. If they made him more like Kratos from GOW, it would have been better. Nebula sucked too. She virtally did nothing or said anything, apart with her 2 min. fight sequence with Gamora.

- One more nitpick: It annoyed me that there were so many Human looking "aliens" in the galaxy. I know theres a budget, but when you establish a world where citizens from across the galaxy all interwine. Well... when you see a bunch of human looking characters, its kinda distracting. The prison sequence probably 6 out of every 10 inmates look Human. I had the same nitpick for Thor 2.

Pros

- Apart from the above, this movie was very enjoyable
- Groot has his "Puny God" moment
- Rocket was great as was Groot
- Its a fresh change of pace, when its not dark and moody all the time. In fact the mood was mostly - lets relax and have a good time
- The music was awesome
- Colorful
- The enjoyable moments are spread apart very evenly - Enjoyable throughout

Solid 8.5/10 for me

I saw the 7pm showing at my local fake Imax 3D. I didn't wanna drive 30mins to the real Imax. It was a hell of a film. 3D was decent. I still think The Winter Soldier is Marvel's best film so far. Guardians tops Avengers on fun . The poster they gave at the theater is one of my favorites next to the Bane midnight showing poster.

Good movie but I'd place it behind:
Captain America: TWS
Iron Man
Avengers
GOTG

Awesome! Better than expected. My only complaint is the 2nd post credit scene. What a waste. Oh well.

TWS is still my favorite of all the Marvel films. I can't quite put my finger on it...I just love it!
