Fantastic movie! I will see this again in IMAX 3D this weekend, but I feel that I must respect The Winter Soldier by giving it a proper repeat viewing on blu-ray before declaring GotG the better Marvel film. Although it is incredibly neck-and-neck.

Without a doubt though, the most fun you'll have at the theaters this summer. Seriously, go and see this!

My order of reaction at the post credits scene:

All in about 10 seconds. Seeing one of my two favorite characters is the last thing I thought I'd see

Biggest WASTE of a post credits scene ever.

Lame.

The last film before Avengers 2 and they couldnt give us a tease? And even if theyre not, they waste it on THAT?!?

I wouldn't call it a waste, but rather a very missed opportunity. One guy in my audience yelled out,
[Show spoiler]"Where the hell is the Avengers teaser?!"
I felt his pain.

That's how I felt when I watched her in Oculus. Looking forward to seeing her in something else. Planning to check this out at the drive-in a week from Saturday. It's showing with Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, which I haven't seen yet either.

[Show spoiler]over hyped..

good, but not great, a little better than the Thor movies. things felt a bit rushed and the humor forced. couldn't connect with the characters very well.

lol, there was a lot of catcalling and booing at my theater for the end credits scene. people were yelling at the screen "what the f@ck is that!?" and whatnot

A LOT better than the Thor movies IMO. I'll even announce right here right now that Iron Man 1-3 doesn't hold a candle to this film. And I personally connected with the characters just fine, minus Groot and Drax to an extent. Remember, all in due time when it comes to the Marvel universe.

eh, I'd put the first Iron man above this one. not by a wild amount, but still. ratings wise

Cap America 2
Avengers

Iron Man
Guardians of the Galaxy
Thor/Thor 2 (about on par with each other)
Cap America 1

Iron Man 2

Iron Man 3

it's funny, but Bautista was actually the best character in the whole film

I actually enjoyed this. For a Marvel movie it was popcorn fun. I'm sure it will be completely forgotten about once it makes $250 million and Avengers 2 comes out but it was fun for what it was. Winter Soldier is still the best of phase 2 so far. But at least this was miles ahead of the embarrassment that was Thor 2.

What was the post credits scene? I didn't stay. The poster they gave out was rad.
