The Post marks my 50th MoviePass movie. Four months and zero problems.

After 20 something movies I was finally able to use the "Check In if Movie Missing" option today due to the fact that the theater they decided to play 12 Strong in was a D-Box auditorium and MP considers that a special event so the showtimes were grayed out. So to bypass it I took the chance with that option and it worked flawlessly. Now my minor nitpick is having an empty poster in the History section lol.

Thinking of signing up this afternoon. Anyone have an idea of current turn around times for new cards? I remember hearing of people experiencing heavy delays somewhere along the line.

The long delays were at the start of the new price point IIRC. You should be perfectly fine now. Last I remember, people here were saying the turnaround was a week or so.

Ok fantastic, thank you. And now you also have the ability to rack in AMC Premiere Stubs points every visit as well or is that YMMV?

So yesterday I went with my cousin and his daughter to see Jumanji for the second time. He is apparently a AMC Stubs Premiere member and apparently had 2 free tickets. The Cashier helped him out and he processed the two tickets manually thru the information he had on the phone (didin't get a good look at it) and then he got his tickets. I wasn't paying much attention but I do remember the cashier shot down my cousin's Stubs card due to me using movie pass, which is fine AMC, which is why I don't go to you anymore (along with other reasons). As I turned in my ticket to be handed by the ticket taker I noticed that the cashier charged me child price instead of adult price. uhhhh.......... will the cashier's error flag me ? I don't think it would because it was cheaper than the loaded amount and it was for a 2d movie.

Is there an actual higher charge for foreign films? One manager told me that a bollywood movie was priced at 25 dollars during first release but has dropped. If it is showing at my local theater and not a specialty theater, I would not mind trying it out with MP but it's really weird that MP would not allow for foreign films.

I've visited 2 different AMC locations with my Stubs Premiere card at least 5 times with my MP card, worked 100% of the time. Scan the Stubs card at the kiosk first, then use the MP card as the payment. I received about 1,000 points for every ticket purchase since it costs about $10 here, so 100 points per dollar.

You mean like on Blu-Ray? No, because I almost never blind buy, so anything I buy I have already seen at the theater anyway (or Netflix or rented or whatever). So moviepass/whether I see more movies at the theater does not mean I buy less - if anything I would end up seeing more so potentially buying more.

BUT...

Thanks to digital, I now buy FAR fewer blu-rays than I used to. 90% of movies I am content with an HDX UV code. I probably only buy about 10 actual blu-rays a year now.

I am still buying BR's with the digital code. One day services will shut down and we will be SOL. I know BR/DVD will get Disc Rot but I expect them to last longer than the on line servers.

I know without movie pass, I wouldn't have seen the smaller movies like The Disaster Artist and even skipped Jumanji and Greatest Showman.
Just getting annoyed that my local theaters are taking FOREVER to get a hold of certain movies even if they go from Limited to Wide release.

Yes. Bollywood films are more expensive. Very rarely they are normal ticket price. They also could only run for 3 days from Thursday to Saturday. They may also be even more expensive on opening night than the other days.

There's an AMC near me that regularly has 5+ screens playing Bollywood films, and the tickets cost the same as any other movie. (and Moviepass works for them)
edit: I just checked the current listings at this theater, and Moviepass works for about half of them, but not others.... weird. Tickets for all of them are still regular price, though.
