Going by this video, the Batmobile appears nearly identical to the 4-inch Hot Wheels that I posted pictures of waaaaaay back in this thread, but with a few very minor differences:
- this one has added white printing on the bottom
- the silver paint at the base of the siren light on top is more visible
- this one has a trailer hitch

It's actually the opposite - they did a transfer using the original elements which kept the original lighting, but most (all?) transfers that most folks have ever seen previously were overly brightened.

The color is astounding - especially now with such an accurate transfer. It's so deep and rich, it's just gorgeous. The previous syndicated versions most of us grew up on were intentionally brightened up (not just the old analog transfers, but even the new digital ones in HD syndication).

Brightening color actually makes it less accurate, so seeing things like the capes and such a revelation. A lot of folks are going to complain about the darkness because they are used to the over-saturated transfers, but there is so much more detail and accuracy to the original materials with this transfer.

After watching the unboxing, I feel like a kid that knew what he was getting before Christmas.

Ok, even though I am getting the blu ray box set, now I want to see the dvd unboxing.

Oddly enough, this box set sort of reminds me of the Star Wars: Clone Wars box set; minus the styrofoam at the top of the discs. But, not a huge fan of the stacking of the discs but as long as everything is fine then I guess that it is ok to live with. And, it was nice to see Batgirl getting some attention. I was beginning to wonder if she was going to be a part of the packaging at all. Nice shot of her on the motorcycle.

I so can't wait till Tuesday, I'm like a little kid on Christmas morning.. It maybe campy but gosh darn it, it's a part of my childhood and it'll always will be.

Not this particular collection. It's limited to 95,000, I imagine that it will be gone, QUICK.
