PRIVATE PROPERTY trailer has arrived!

Leslie Stevens’ 1960 film “Private Property” follows two Southern California drifters, played by Warren Oates and Corey Allen (“Rebel Without a Cause”), who wander into a seemingly-perfect Beverly Hills home of an unhappy housewife (Kate Manx, who was Stevens’ spouse at the time) and worm their way into her life. Thought to be lost for many years until the UCLA Film & Television Archive dug up some missing elements and Cinelicious Pics completed a full 4K restoration of the film. Now this eerie, voyeuristic neo-Hitchcockian thriller, shot almost entirely in Stevens and Manx’s own home, will finally see the light of day once again during the Film Society of Lincoln Center’s Warren Oates retrospective running from July 1st through July 7th. Warren Oates was a character actor best known for his work in the 1970’s. Some of his best known work includes Sam Peckinpah’s “The Wild Bunch” and “Bring Me the Head of Alfredo Garcia,” Terrence Malick’s “Badlands,” Monte Hellman’s “Two-Lane Blacktop,” Peter Fonda’s “The Hired Hand,” and Ivan Reitman’s “Stripes.” Meanwhile, Leslie Stevens is best known for creating the 1960’s sci-fi anthology series “The Outer Limits” and directing the horror film “Incubus” starring William Shatner.

“Private Property” will open in New York on July 4th weekend.

The PRIVATE PROPERTY gallery has added a fun trailer preview and a great new poster (the sexiest that I've seen yet) that I hadn't ever seen before. Waiting for the Blu-ray is driving me crazy!

It's a good news/bad news day.

Bad news: the animated film I hinted at awhile ago - that deal is in limbo for reasons completely out of our control. We're not giving up on it, but it'll be some time before we can start in on that deal again.

But let's focus on the good...

Good news: we just signed the contracts for our next restoration release! Yer gonna love it. Official press release will be coming very soon! And as always I'll share as much of the restoration process as I can with you all.

I know Diabolik usually ships as they get stock in. I believe my order shipped last Thursday or so. Hope I didn't just get them in trouble or something.

Mine hasn't from Diabolik (since it was more convenient than other retailers) but that's because I've got it in an order to ship all at once with CTM/Lady Cocoa, Petey Wheatstraw and AU Road Games. I'm super excited for that order to come in, needless to say.

Again, I just wanted to comment how excited I am to receive the film. I really hope that street date thing isn't going to backfire on Diabolik, as they are the best place to order releases, and my forum post showing my excitement for this release was not intended to start anything.

Don't sweat it. I'm really thrilled about the excitement around this release. It was a labor of love for us.
