Yeah, I went through this nonsense with Amazon on the Unforgiven 4K disc. I had pre-ordered it more than 6 months in advance, and Amazon still didn't ship it to me by release day. I ended up picking up Unforgiven at my local Best Buy store.

I just cancelled my Amazon order of The Fifth Element 4K and ordered it from Best Buy.

Default I have Fifth Element on blu;

And held off on buying the recent Supreme Cinema series Disc and I'm glad I did. Will be upgrading to this 4K version assuming I can walk in and pick one up at BB this week. Can't wait to experience this in Atmos too...

Had an $80 Best Buy certificate, so I got The Fifth Element, Leon, Unforgiven in 4k and the Rush Hour Trilogy for a cool $13

This is what I don't get if Amazon is having a pi$$ing contest with whatever studio that day. Just go buy it somewhere else. Seems to me, Amazon is cutting off its nose to spite its face, really.

And this seems to be happening more frequently.

Yeah I'm not waiting on this Amazon shit. Brick seek is showing wal mart having this in store and Best Buys website says they're getting the standard edition as well as the steel. I'll just pick this up when I'm doing my errands tomorrow.

Looks like this might be another Unforgiven, where I go to Best Buy for something else (Leon in this case) and end up canceling my delayed order and grabbing the Best Buy copy. Hope they have normal cases in stock but I'll buy it either way I guess.

I’m guessing none of these are coming with Valerian movie cash?

Cancelled my amazon order, picked this up at midnight at a 24 hour Wal-Mart for $19.96. Watched it as soon as I got home and man was this worth the upgrade. I don't mean to knock anyone's opinions, but I still can't adhere to the HDR argument. Meaning HDR is THE MAIN thing 4K UHD's have going for it. I've watched my remastered blu of this several times but watching this in 4K, on an SDR tv, it still blew me away. The consistency and grain structure is much more prevalent and the colors and detail are absolutely stunning. This was however my first time watching it on my new audio equipment and the Atmos track (TrueHD for me as I'm still rocking 5.1) was goddamn incredible. With HDR, I'm sure the results are even more observable but as a fan of this film for 20 years (my Pops took me to a midnight show on its release), this is just nostalgia overload for me and I couldn't be more pleased with the upgrade.

Mods?
Seriously. This has to be the most neglected forum on the entire site. Nearly every thread on here has one or more tangents completely irrelevant to the topic at hand. Usually one of like three recurring arguments from the same handful of people. Meaningful information about the actual topic remains difficult to actually find.

I know this board is massive but given how certain subforums are moderated it's pretty clear this is a very low priority or just not read very thoroughly.

How much grain would you say is in the movie? Pretty heavy or just some? I am not a grain fan, please no punishment. What would you say how it compares to Star Trek Beyond 4K? I thought ST had a good amount.

The film is heavy with grain. Detail is tremendous. Color is fantastic. All those shades of orange look absolutely stunning. It's glorious. Definitely near the top of my list of 4k discs.

Not a steel fan, but figure the BBY exclusive packaging was the way to go. Got it on hold.

No special packaging for Leon?
