I continue to not be blown away by the PQ of a movie when red dragon is the main camera. Idk what it is. Usually there's quite a few people in those threads that say "it looked good but didn't blown me away" or "I was expecting more". I know a film like Allied and some others had pretty mixed opinions on the PQ. PR looked pretty good, but not as good as the other demo moves Imo. |

I thought it was OK, watched the HDR10 version, but after reading some reviews, I expected John Wick 2 type quality. As stated above, it was not. Movie wasn't that good either.

Does every UHD Power Rangers disk have Dolby Vision?
I have the latest firmware on my Oppo 203 and LG C7, but I can't get Dolby Vision to work on the 4k Power Rangers disk I got off eBay. Regular HDR works fine though. I've tried powering both off and on in different orders, setting Oppo's HDR to "auto" and messing with some other settings to no avail. I'm considering purchasing a brand new one from Walmart with the DV sticker on it. Last edited by MassiveG; 07-07-2017 at 05:38 PM. |

There are no bootleg UHD discs so don't worry. It would only be a bootleg BD. |

Hmm. How about we all take pictures of our discs to compare? This is mine, from Amazon. And it comes with the Dolby Vision sticker. But other than the sticker on the slipcover, there's nothing else to indicate it's Dolby Vision encoded. Not on the slipcover, not on the box, not on the disc itself.

You'll need to run a separate cable to the TV directly, as the 2016 Denon's right now don't pass the signal without doing a slight modification to it. HDR10 is fine, but it means that the DV metadata doesn't get passed because of how they embed it. Have to wait for a firmware update otherwise. I had to change my living room setup to get around this.

Point being, none of that will turn a movie into eye candy if it simply wasn't graded to be eye candy in the first place, the DV metadata is about staying as true to that source as possible within the confines of x display. |

If you have the 203 run one cable directly to the display. The one that came with the player and run the other HDMI out to the receiver. Problem solved. The LG will decode the DV signal. |
