The color on the DVD is superior. For the HD remaster they altered the color grade so that the highlights and midtones have a green cast to them. This is especially noticeable in the daytime scenes, and when compared side by side to the DVD. From the comparisons I’ve seen online, the 4K version also retains this greenish color grade. There are also several minor fixes in the subsequent versions that simply improve the image and aren’t distracting (set extension, better green screen edges etc.) I prefer quality but man, I hate seeing that green sky during the “king of the world” scene.

Surprised I got my copy today from Amazon. Both Titanic and Silver Bullet arrived with slips. Talk about an odd double feature.

How do the colors in the UHD look?

It depends on which DVD I guess? The 1999 DVD is different to the 2012 DVD. I think the 1999 has color closer to the original.

did an ISPU at my local BB...had several copies , all with slips..grabbed the Young Guns 4k SB too...same store that had them out display on Sunday but couldn't sell'em..

Canadian edition doesn't come with a slip unfortunately. Paramount stopped producing slips for their Canadian UHDs. Rosemary's Baby, Trading Places, Scrooged, etc. all don't come with them. I think the last one to have a slip was Ferris Bueller's Day Off. They stopped right around then anyway.

The only DVD caps available over at capsaholic.com are those of the German Special Edition (2006). There's definitely a green tint. I agree the "king of the world" scene looks off, but take a look at this:

There's a pinkish hue here on the DVD and that doesn't look good, either.

different tv's being used could be why they look different in color..the VHS was a CRT most likely, , the others could be plasmas, LED , tv's, who knows, all had different looks

I think it has more to do with the fact that they have to print an bilingual slipcover version.

I think I have heard someone here saying that the UHD tones down a bit the green tint from the blu-ray.
