For those who're going to pay the extra $25.00 just for the steelbook case is kinda foolish, when you can buy the regular packaging 4K set for only $50.00 at Walmart and Amazon right now. I can use that extra $25.00 for something else, or buy another UHD movie.

Me? It's content. As long as it doesn't have an additional disc not in the originals I won't regret getting what I have now. |

It irks me that it says "Jurassic World" collection, for one.. and... it's just one steelbook. I'd personally prefer them all individually lined up in their own case. I'm not gonna have as many UHD by the end of my buying. So it just seems cooler having individuals for the visual impact?
And us aussies get that possibilty from JBhifi purchasing. |

--- Anyway, I'll use the $25 towards JW5 3D version. And if they include the 4K version in the same package, that'll be the day. And, true hardcore collectors they don't care about money, they just want it all. |

A title, poster, and maybe even teaser? were revealed for FALLEN KINGDOM before the 4k set was even announced. And as a JURASSIC movie, it was easy to assume that at least one retailer was going to have a steelbook for it, on top of the fact that there was a pretty good chance of a FIVE movie collection on/near disc release day. It's not like this was some sneaky maneuver that was impossible to consider since JW had not only one, but two sequels greenlit after release. Or them "pulling a fast one". As others have mentioned, big time collectors are who it is geared toward, and they won't care. And big time collectors probably also already considering the high probability of this product if/when they pulled the trigger on the current 4k set. Is it just a way to milk more money? Sure....but, it was/is an obvious way to do so. And they are a retailer. Selling things is sorta what they're supposed to do. |

Yikes. I looked at this like a triple-dip cash grab but from the responses it looks like nobody cares
![]() Me personally, I wasn't in for this set, I liked the first and fallen kingdom, the others I could pass on. But whatever, if I wasn't going to buy I guess it's not something I should have an opinion on. Besides, Best Buy and other stores reducing their Blu footprints, it shouldn't bother anyone that sets like these are going to be produced and bought. |

They've reduced their Blu footprint, but I think that is partially due to 4K taking over, as their 4K UHD section is so much bigger than their Blu-ray section. Of what little space they have for everything. In the long run, I don't think this is due to physical media dying, but rather to the cell phone industry taking over. Physical media will still be a rather big component of Best Buy's business. That's how they get people in to buy the bigger ticket items. It's a big reason behind the music wars of the '90s between Circuit City and Best Buy.

Which is why I bought the current steelbook collection (for $55 NOT the current $70 tag). I can ditch the blu's from their steel in the set, and add the 4K sequels as they come out. Also, after The Mummy debacle, I will never buy those cardboard sets anymore. So the JP sequels will be housed in there own non-stacked spot, safely in a Steelbook.

Or maybe foolish is risking scratched discs because you don't want to spend the extra money. I'm quite content with the steelbooks being a non issue in that respect.

Digging the collection, but I am going to hold out for the inevitable 6-movie set. They planned a trilogy after the success of World, so I would imagine the next movie will make a decent bookend at least and a good time to buy the set.

You know they gonne hint something survived at the end of the next movie, right? They gonna keep milking that cow untill it's dry, we'll get a lot more JP movies, you may want to hold out forever.

It's rumored the Crichton's estate gets the rights back after the next film. If all goes well maybe we can get a more accurate adaptation of the novel.
