Awesome, thanks for the heads up. Looks like I need to decide between the regular version and the digibook then. Leaning towards the regular combo pack, since it's $6 cheaper, but that digi looks splendid.

Rats, still nothing showing the inside. The cover's old news but I'd love to see the real stuff you'd be paying for - the "book" inside.

The Supreme Court has already ruled that States can not interfere in transactions from and individual or buisness from one state to another.

However, you are also right that some States ask their tax payers to pay taxes on goods bought from an out of state source that they intend to use in-state.

I suspect, eventually, that it will come down to another Supreme Court decision. However, Amazon already built a bunch of warehouses in Ca. so it wont help me even if the Supreme Court stops States from taxing.

Yeah I agree, but it's nice to be able to get some actual pictures of the front at least.

Yea, I thought it didn't exist when Target cancelled all the pre-orders and took it off their site..

It does exist but seems quantity might be limited. In our system it showed we should have 49 of them, but I only found 9 of them in the stock room.

Call your local target and give them the item number below and see how many they have and you'll be golden. hopefully this helps those out there trying to get one before the scalpers come.

Item number: 058-37-0752

The sticker on the front mentions it includes 'The Dark Knight Rises' prologue comic book, perhaps that's what the pages contain?

Default Even MORE about Target's Digibook Orders

OK, here's the new dung about Target's The Dark Knight Rises Batman vs Bane Lenticular DigiBook...

I just got an email from Target about this:

"We’re writing to let you know that due to complications with our supplier, your pre-order for The Dark Knight Rises - Only at Target (Blu-ray/DVD) (2012) [Order #XXXXXXXXXXX] was cancelled....

We appreciate your excitement for this Target-only item. . We expect this to arrive between December 10th and December 17th. While this is later than you expected from your original order......

Also note that this item will be available in Target stores on December 4th. Again, we apologize and appreciate your patience in this matter.

Thanks for shopping at Target.
Team Target"

Cool. Looks like Target's back on again!

I received the same e-mail. I was upset that they cancelled my pre-order but the free copy more than makes up for it.

Default Blame Christopher Nolan for Picture Quality on Blu-ray?

Is it fair to say, we have to blame Christopher Nolan for his style of filming and all his movies are a bit disappointing except for the IMAX scenes on Blu-ray? People can easily "oh look at those IMAX scenes, and the 2:35 scenes are soft. 1080p doesn't have to be soft at all, if you look at Spider-Man, documentaries on Blu-ray.

Just compare all his movies from Batman Begins till The Dark Knight Rises. All the same browning dark soft look images. Also most of the time on top and bottom of the image it's blurry.

Anyone else agrees with me?

A) Did this really need a thread, couldn't you just moan in the actual Dark Knight Thread.
B) Wrong section, this is for film in the cinema, this really should of gone in the Blu ray section.

Not a big Nolan fan,but it may be because he uses film, and the stock of film he's using...Only Nolan movie I have is Inception (Can't believe I bought it,but thats another discussion) and can't say the imagequality was below par there on BD...

Can someone tell me what happened to the digibook?

It's not on the website anymore. And is there a price set. Sorry if this has been mention before.

I really hate to be "that guy" but did anyone ever clarify if the "Dark Knight Reborn" Best Buy documentary is download only or an actual extra physical DVD/BD? I see a lot of people talking about it but no one specifically referencing that concern; sorry if I missed it.
