What is everyone's prediction for the title game Monday night? I think it's going to start off slow, and then explode wide open in the second half in a tit for tat type of 3rd and 4th quarters, but Oregon is going to pull away in the end. Their conditioning program is second to none and will win the game for them.

I'm just hoping it'll be a good close game cause I rather not watch a blowout.

For a guy who supposedly ran a "pro style" of offense Pete Carroll's offensive players sure have been busts in the NFL. The guy who ended up being the best Carroll QB in the pros is Matt Cassell, who never started a single game at USC.

Boy... You're 2-for-2 in your utter ignorance of all things USC...

If Mark Sanchez and Carson Palmer don't count, sure.

Mark Sanchez's career stats:
29 TD
33 Int
70.2 QB Rating

Matt Cassell's career stats:
66 TD
34 Int
85.0 QB Rating

Cassell has also shown FAR more improvement this year than Sanchez has. Thanks but I'd take Cassell as my team's starting QB over Sanchez anyday. Carson Palmer has been a decent QB, but really hasn't brought much to Cincy for many years and wasn't worth a #1 overall pick IMO.

I think he could still be good, but as of now even his mild success is byproduct of having a pretty solid team around him and a very good defense. I bet his numbers would be far worse then they are now had he gone to say the lions like Stafford who I think is doing a heck of a job even with no protection.

That's my point. Sanchez has had a tremendous amount of talent around him. I know Cassell did too with New England but I don't think anyone can say he has a ton of talent around him in KC, yet he had 27 TD/5 Int this season.

I notice that you didn't bring Palmer's stats into your argument.

Also, Sanchez's stats are a little less than two seasons long. Perhaps, there's not enough data points for him yet?

In any event...

Palmer > Sanchez > Cassel ~ Leinart

(Yes, you read that correct -- Leinart was developing into a fine NFL quarterback before his injury and then that a-hole Whisenhunt took over for Denny Green)

IMO!

Palmer changed so much with that injury I don't know if he'll ever get the credit he deserved or if he really just did play up and then settle into where his skill level really was... I'm leaning on injury.

Leinart again product of amazing talent around him and not seeming to work as hard as other people you're name doesn't need to be Jamarcus to not have any work ethic.

Cassel looks to be a beast and has shown he can play with or without talent as the great one's have shown Manning, Brady exc.

Yeah he had some nice games... I just still feel like the work ethic and the urgency to be the best wasn't in him like with other people.

If Leinhart was developing into such a "fine QB" why does no team want anything to do with him? There are a lot of teams with crappy starting QB's and any could have gotten Leinhart for practically nothing. Yet none want him. I suppose every NFL team just hates "Fine NFL QB's."

As for Palmer just ask any Bengals fan what they think of him. He's had about 2 good seasons with the rest being mediocre or injury plauged. A lot of his problems are due to injuries, so I won't pile on the guy too much. He could have been a near top-tier QB if not for the injuries.

It would be nice that if you want to make a salient point about somebody that you would at least spell his frickin' name correctly.

Palmer still has a lot of fooball left in him. He needs a new change of scenery, and I think he'll do well again. IMO!

Leinart worked his ass off before the 2010 season. Whisenhunt decided that he didn't like him from the beginning and messed with Leinart's head. That STUPID STUPID STUPID HC would rather sacrifice the entire 2010 season and rely on Derek Effing Anderson than give Leinart a real shot for the Cardinals.

I LAUGHED MY ASS OFF everytime the Cardinals lost this past season, which BTW, was ELEVEN TIMES!

Yeah he did do that this past season, but when you have a history sometimes it gets held against you regardless of it being legitimate. I'm just saying for a long time it didn't seem he was all in it, and I don't blame him for wanting to party and live it up. All he can do from here on out is work that hard from now on wherever he gets a backup job and hope he gets a shot to show everyone was wrong.

So I suppose it's a big conspiracy among NFL coaches and GM's to keep Leinart (made sure to spell that right to avoid anymore freakouts) from getting a chance, huh? If Arizona didn't want him and Houston signs him yet never plays him it might be worth considering that the guy just sucks and isn't an NFL calibur QB.

Perhaps, he has been on two teams with better QBs... There's no shame in playing back up to Kurt Warner (a future HOFer) and Matt Schaub, one of the best young QBs in the league.

Let's see how things shake out in 2011 before we bury Mr. Leinart in the category of he "just sucks and isn't and NFL calibur (sic) QB."

I believe Auburn has been battle tested against some of the best teams in the nation. I don't believe the Ducks can stop Cam Newton or Nick Fairley. I think Newton is going to have all the time he needs behind his offensive line.

Oregon can win this game, though. And in my analysis of AU, I'm horribly biased.
