I'm off work today. I slept in, ate some cereal, watched some tv, and I'll be watching some more of the Firefly tv show BDs in a little while.

I also texted my brother-in-law regarding the pj screen installation.
Do you still have your old screen up so you can use the new pj until your bro-in-law can help you?

I figured you did.

I've never seen Spartacus but I would like to.

I'm about 1/3 of the way into the Firefly BD set, and I'll probably make it to at least 2/3 of the way tonight. You really should give it another chance. It is a bit funny/cheesy in some ways, but it also has some very witty writing and some great characters. I really love it.

I hope we get another Serenity movie someday, but I doubt it.

So I guess you've finished Spartacus by now.

I would say that sci-fi is by far my favorite category, and a lot of it is pretty dark and depressing for the most part.

I'm about to fix me some dinner and go watch some more Firefly.

Some might call this too much. I prefer to call it the Terry Bozzio "starter" kit.

[Show spoiler]If he played Ludwig, that is.

Now that's a lot of drums. I don't think I would feel too comfortable with that massive bass drum hanging over my head though.

I had something happen tonight that has thankfully never happened before. While I was using my projector the power went out for just a few seconds and then came back on. The projector remained off after the power came back on, which I've always wondered if it would stay off or not after a power outage. I'm glad it did so at least it didn't put any more added strain on the lamp after shutting down without a cool-down cycle.

I thought about starting it back up after about an hour or so, but it's already getting late, so I guess I'll just wait until tomorrow. I try my best to prolong my lamp life by not turning it on until I plan to use it for several hours and then I always turn it off as soon as I'm done using it. I also only use it once per day most of the time. I have used it in the afternoon, then shut it down for a few hours to run errands, then turned it back on to use that evening, but that's pretty rare for me. I think I may be overly cautious with my usage habits, but that's probably for the best.

I just hope the power outage tonight didn't cause any damage. I seriously doubt that one time without a cool-down cycle in over a year would hurt it though.

Thanks Factor, but I don't know for sure that it has yet. I haven't turned it back on since the power went out.

A projector is supposed to go through a cool-down cycle where the fan runs for a little while after you turn it off. Mine usually just runs for about 30 seconds after I turn it off. Once you turn a projector off you are supposed to wait until it has completely reached room temperature before turning it back on. Most people say about an hour.

I'm sure it's fine though.

Like I said, Terry's starter kit.

Think of the Bass Drum as a Sunblock for when you're playing those Stadium shows

I wouldn't mind having that set, but I would probably leave a few drums off, most of the time.

Oh it completely did, but I don't really care about that as long as my projector is okay. I watched one and a half episodes of Firefly.
