Add me to the group of people that prefers Bloodsport to Kickboxer. Maybe. I think. I don't know. It's been a while since I've seen Kickboxer and I've literally just finished re-watching Bloodsport so I guess the odds are in that one's favour.

Anyway, I'm tempted to watch Timecop but it'll be about half-three in the morning by the time it's over.

Timecop is still the epic hoot I remember it being. The BD is super dark though.

I don't get how anyone could think Kickboxer is superior.

Better acting? It's a wash from JCVD, and no one in the Kickboxer cast is anywhere near the level of Forest Whitaker, who was a respected thespian even in the '80s.

Better story? Kickboxer has a fun story, but nothing particularly new or original. Not that Bloodsport is all that innovative either, but there seems to be more to the plot.

Better fight scenes? I cared about about the characters in Bloodsport, therefore I also cared more about their fight scenes.

Better dance scene? Yep, Kickboxer wins this!

Don't get me wrong: Kickboxer is fun too, but I don't see how it comes close to Bloodsport in any way.

JCVD is definitely better in Kickboxer, very much so I would say, even though he's nowhere near his best. Yeah, Bloodsport has Whitaker, but dude, the kid playing Dux when he was a kid ruined any chance this movie had for which had the better acting of the two.

Not sure the story is better in Kickboxer, the script sure is IMO.

I cared about the characters in both Bloodsport and Kickboxer, but since Bloodsport has more fighting with the epic finale, it wins on this one.

Also, I'd say Kickboxer is better directed than Bloodsport and just feels like a lot more thought and planning was put into making it.
