Last time I watched these flicks I enjoyed III more than I did Lost World, I swear to Spielberg it's true. Lost World is just so disjointed, it lurches from scene to scene and that bit with the kid on the uneven bars like she at the ****ing Olympics makes me feel like I'm watching some kind of Zucker Bros parody. The double T-Rex attack is awesome, no doubt, but there's something about the movie in general that just doesn't click for me.

JP is still the daddy of 'em all, it's damned near perfect and having seen it in the cinema as a kid I still get chills watching it all these years later, my appreciation for it has only grown stronger.

Really? For me it was the T-Rex stomping through the city and the japanese tourists running for their lives and taking pics. That was when I felt like I was watching two different movies.

The Lost World has three fantastic scenes to me:

- Rex running wild through the camp
- Mom and Dad attack the trailer
- NOT INTO THE LONG GRASS

I feel absolutely no dread in JP3. At least my heart pounds when Malcolm & Co are in the compound at the end fighting off raptors.

But there is nothing like the original, of course.

And I'd put World at #2 (distant, yes, but still great), now LW.

I was gonna mention that but didn't wanna ramble too much. It feels like it's literally been grafted on from an entirely different movie. The spoof movies that are seen in the video shop also add to that Zucker-esque feel. "Tom Hanks in Tsunami Sunrise", wut?

Loving that cover! Kinda disappointed though that it's a digibook. Probably gonna buy it anyways unless they do single releases (hopefully).
