No, it's locally owned. Not a chain.

It happened to me when I went to AMC to purchase a ticket and it makes sense they don't want you to buy a ticket with your moviepass and than get a refund on a credit or debit card.

The $20 Fifty Shades Marathon is listed as being check in-able.

That's the least expensive marathon I've ever seen. I was joking with a co-worker that she and I should skip work and go.

MoviePass grays out stuff you're not allowed to use it on, if you can check into it on the app you're probably not gonna get banned for it.

You guys do know that I was joking about being banned right? If the system allowed you to check in, I am pretty sure there would have not been enough funds loaded to cover the marathon....therefore a split transaction would have been required to pay for the marathon..in that case that would have been a MP TOS violation and you would have been banned or penalized. So the movie that would have gotten you in trouble would have been 50 shades.... :P

Not something you want to brag about lol.

What’s funnier to me is it’s Universal and the theatre was charging $25 for the Pitch Perfect marathon back in December! Same studio, same amount of films, etc.

I thought the Independence Day two film marathon was cheap at 20 bucks...that included the theatrical cut (pre-remastered) and the 3d version of ID:R at the Alamo.

The Star Wars marathon for Last Jedi could be used to check in on the app back in December.

It depends on the theater for pricing and promotions:

The Last Jedi Fan Event
- AMC: $35, Presented in Dolby Vision, included ticket & oversized trading cards
- Regal: $28, Presented in RealD 3D, included ticket & collectable cup & medium popcorn & oversized trading cards

Pitch Perfect Treble Marathon
- AMC Dine-In: $25, included ticket and lanyard
- Harkins: $20, included ticket, lanyard, loyalty cup ($1.50 refills on this), small popcorn

Fifty Shades Marathon
- AMC Dine-In: $25, includes ticket
- Harkins: $20, includes ticket, small popcorn, loyalty cup

These are my local theaters. Fifty Shades might also have a lanyard included too.

The Regal in Union Square in NYC is $17.40 for a regular 2D ticket, and moviepass works fine there. It may work for a $20 marathon.

I was able to checkin to the Room event recently and I think the Star Wars and the GOTG2 fan even was there too.

Just take a screenshot of the checkin-able page on the app in case they give you crap about it.

A lot of people on Twitter and the Reddit MP page have reported getting a cancelation email for violating TOS for viewing a premium showing with pretty much everyone disputing it. Anyone here get one?

Yikes no. I have gone to a second run theater, however most of their tickets are cheaper anyway.

Not sure if its considered premium showing but one of my theaters is local but has recliners in all 12 theaters. They charge about 11 per ticket. They also have special viewings of old movies twice a week but they dont charge any extra.

This week they have casablanca, next week is Wizard of Oz, following week is True Grit, and week after that is Godfather. So I use it a lot.
