Thinking about changing my life around. I'm tired of sitting inside all day even though its winter and that's all you can do in the Midwest but last summer I didn't do anything.. I need to get back on my feet after a couple life-changing events that crippled me. I still want to continue collecting but hopefully at a lesser intensity.

I'm wondering if it will be better to use a paint stripper or a heat gun to remove the paint off my front door. I didn't paint it and I personally don't like most painted doors as I find the natural wood look suits most entryways better. It's a dark purple color at the moment, but it is a beautiful natural oak underneath. It's only painted on one side so hopefully it will be a quick project. I already have a new door handle, lock, knocker, hinges and the like ready to go. I would have done it this week but it is going to rain and I won't have anywhere to setup the door as I don't want to do it in my garage. Hopefully by the weekend I can get it stripped, sanded and restained back.

Should I pay £1200 to replace my tv with a similar one or go for broke and use this opportunity to upgrade and go with the 64" while I can't really afford the extra grand.

I hear where your coming from but if in a few years time I fancy a bigger set it is then going to cost me more in the long run.

True. Only you know if you can get by in case of an emergency if you go ahead and spend the extra cash. If it will just be a temporary amount you can put back within a few weeks, I'd lean more towards going for it.

I'm thinking if I cut back on a few of the things I spend most on then that would make all the difference.
I spend way too much on fast food so that would be a start,cut down on the alcohol,both will benefit my health as a bonus.
I have already lowered my tv viewing package and if I can manage to buy a few less Blu-rays then that is a lot extra to play with.
Easy enough typing it here mind you,putting it into practice is another thing.

Easy enough typing it here mind you,putting it into practice is another thing.

You can tell you really want the TV so go buy it. You can manage to avoid your normal activities for a few weeks by telling yourself you have an awesome big screen TV waiting for you.

Very true and I do think I would have a few regrets if I went with the smaller set.
