Target

Hey Joe - I'll be getting the TARGET "Exclusive" version of "GoT" S2 later today ($29.99 - $15 in Shopkick Pts = $14.99 ).

I haven't yet seen S1 so will obv have to start with that, but I've read So Many great reviews on the show, I'm anxious to get going with it.

That's the exact same version that I've got. Sweet deal! It has an exclusive interview with the author George R.R. Martin and four exclusive bonus featurettes on a seperate BD in a slim Amaray case (plus Target was the first to drop below $34.99, and I like to support that). I took the slim paper sleeve/folder that houses the DVD versions out of the set and set them aside, and the bonus BD Amaray slides perfectly into the case where the DVDs were.

If you've never seen this show before, it's like The Sopranos meets Lord of the Rings. Sounds kind of crazy I know, but it's really great. You have to watch them in order(obviously), and really pay attention to really figure out what's going on. The second time I watched them, I was amazed at how much more subtle plot details I picked up on, and understood everything that was going on so much more.

It's my favorite tv show by a large margin of anything I've seen in years.

It does seem kind of crazy, but I think you'll see what I'm talking about. If you have HBO, you should try to watch seasons 1 & 2 before March 31st, because that's when season 3 premieres. Each season has 10 episodes, and each episode is about an hour or a little less, so each season is just under 10 hours.

I've heard some of their stuff, but I'm not overly familiar with them. Their drummer Stanton Moore has his own signature snare drum created by Gretsch in a beautiful quilted birdseye maple.
[Show spoiler]

Also, one of my best friends used to take guitar lessons from Reggie Wooten, Victor's brother.

That's nice. Sure it has a great sound.

What kit do you have now?

I just got a little hard reading that!

I just have Roland V-drum TD-3...bought a new pedal a while ago, before Michelle was born, never used it. Dixon.

Thank you?

Roland V-drums are the best e-drums, imo. It's what Peart uses to supplement his real drums. Dixon is a classic brand like Ludwig or Rogers.

Here are some crappy pics of my set from the before my HT room was finished, back when it was the spare bedroom/jamroom: https://www.blu-ray.com/community/ga...&folderid=6759

At the time of the pics I wasn't using the 13" rack-tom.

This is my favorite pic that I have of my drumset:

[Show spoiler]

It's really a low-quality pic, but it conveys the satiny finish of most of my cymbals, because I don't clean them often enough, and it shows what I see while playing them.

My snare, cymbals, and hardware are all top quality, but my core set of my kick drum and toms are really pretty mediocre.

Nice! I've always wanted to add a snare and a hi-hat to my kit, but being in an apartment maybe not.

Very nice Joe.

Check this guy out. Holy fast feet!! Wonder how he was able to set up & play right on the streets there!! I'm sure some Merchants in the area would not like it, right?
