We know they'll make Elena into a wannabe Slayer, I just wonder if her brother will become one too. Would help even the odds a bit in the climactic battle in the season finale.

But she isn't The Chosen One.............Though in each Generation a Slayer is born, and well Elena is a different generation lol, so maybe....cause just like Buffy Summers aka The Vampire Layer, Elena too enjoys the cold beef.

I never read about it in the novels but my only guess is it negates the lapis lazuli rings that Stefan and Damon and others wear.

Watch it turn out to be nearly exactly like what they used in the Buffy finale with it destroying all vamps within a certain proximity. Speaking of those rings, man how many of those damn things did Katherine get made lol. Every single vamp on the show has one. Did they ever say in the books just how old Katherine is? It occurred to me earlier during the episode she is really the only vamp who's age is unknown. I wasn't really shocked to hear about John either I mean, they were starting to drop a lot of hints the past few weeks, and like Damon said it isn't hard to put two and two together.

I wasn't aware Katherine made them and she's about the same age as the brothers, I think. I have no idea what you mean about John.

You watched last nights episode, that is the second time in the last two weeks they said that Katherine had Emily make the lapis lazuli rings. So Katherine is behind them. And as for not knowing what I mean about John, you did watch the conversation he had at the end of the episode with Isobel right? The one where they revealed who John really is? That is what I was referring to it wasn't much of a shocker ever since he showed up they'd all but confirmed that he was

I saw no other reason he'd be working with her, and he fights with Isobel exactly the same way he fights with Jenna. Like ex-lovers do.

Well vampire's are not people, . She was exactly what she should be mean, not glittering. However as you saw with Rick near the end she wasn't all bad she did take his pain away when she could have easily just killed him. There is some good in here, and like Damon said it's a button you can just turn your emotions off and on.

I think she still has feelings for him but they probably won't stop her from killing him the next time he tosses off his ring and vervain like that and challenges her.

Maybe she is a good person. She said on the phone to John that she don't wan't that kind of life for her daughter. She wants her to have a normal life without vampires. Yeah she is a bit cold. But her intentions for her daughter is good

Hope she is in season 2. Mia Kirsher is really good in that role

Than she probably shouldn't have had a child and than abandoned it in the town next to where she grew up in a place full of vampires. Than possibly could have thought twice about becoming one herself. She just seems like she doesn't ever think anything through before acting.

Not a good choice to be a vampire then, the ones that tend to last are the ones who plan ahead and stay 5 steps ahead of those who would hunt them.
