That's a good point. Thanks for making me feel a bit better.

Gadot is fine. Keep in mind that WW's appearance has varied wildly over the 70 years. I mean it really just depends on the artist. The one consistent element, mostly, is that she's quite tall.

And keep in mind that Gadot was a sports trainer in the Israeli Defense Force, and is a complete badass.

They probably won't until they see what audiences think of her in Batman V Superman.

Let's hope they won't pick anything from that flick for Wonder Woman. It was the worst portrayal of the character I've ever seen.

Do you think it makes sense to do a solo movie of WW set in the 40s after the release of Batman V Superman and Justice League??

I'd be all for it if it's an origins film since one set in the 40s that leaps forward to the present makes the most sense. Sort of a "Captain America: First Avenger" film if it starred Diana Prince, except I hope it will be a lot better than that movie.

While I liked First Avenger, they played it safe, so that should be easy.

Scott Eastwood To Play 'Steve Trevor' In SUICIDE SQUAD Before WONDER WOMAN Appearance
Quote:
A new report reveals the roles both Scott Eastwood and Raymond Olubowale (hint: it involves motion capture) will take on in David Ayer's Suicide Squad, and in the case of the former, it looks like this movie will be setting him up for a major part in Wonder Woman's solo outing...

According to Latino-Review, they've learned that Scott Eastwood will make a cameo appearance as Steve Trevor in Suicide Squad. In "The New 52", he's part of A.R.G.U.S. and plays a key role in helping Wonder Woman acclimate to her new surroundings. They also have a brief romance which obviously didn't end particularly well what with Diana now being in a relationship with Superman! Regardless, Eastwood must be playing the character here in order to set up a bigger role in Wonder Woman, and you have to wonder just how much of a part both A.R.G.U.S. and Amanda Waller will play in that and Justice League.

‘Wonder Woman’ Director Leaves Movie Due to Creative Differences
Quote:
Michelle MacLaren has exited as the director of Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment’s “Wonder Woman” film due to creative differences, sources tell Variety.

“Given creative differences, Warner Bros. and Michelle MacLaren have decided not to move forward with plans to develop and direct ‘Wonder Woman’ together,” the studio said in a statement.

Gal Gadot is still attached to star and Jason Fuchs is on board to pen the script.

More to come…

Details Emerge Regarding Michelle MacLaren's Departure from WONDER WOMAN

Quote:
Fans are still coming to grips with the announcement that Breaking Bad director Michelle MacLaren has exited WB's WONDER WOMAN film, and although the split seems amicable, BadassDigest has revealed several details regarding MacLaren's direction for the film.

It's not uncommon nowadays to see directors part ways with studios over "creative differences" regarding Superhero projects, with recent examples being Edgar Wright's departure from ANT MAN, Drew Goddard stepping off the directing table for Netflix's DAREDEVIL, and now Michelle MacLaren's exit from WB's upcoming WONDER WOMAN. Fans are still reeling from the news that the "Breaking Bad" director will no longer helm Gal Gadot's solo DC outing, but from what has already be gleamed from the split, it may be for the better.

BadassDigest's Devin Faraci reports on the behind the scenes disagreements regarding the direction of the film, including how "MacLaren and Warner Bros couldn't agree on anything - including what time period to set the movie." This is most likely in reference to BleedingCool's report back in October that the first film could take place during the 1920s, with later reports indicated that a trilogy of WONDER WOMAN films were in consideration, each taking place in different time periods. Faraci also explains that "MacLaren had some very particular visions for the film, visions that maybe would have alienated fandom. Although perhaps Diana having a tiger sidekick/pet she could talk with would have appealed to people more than I expect."

MacLaren is no doubt one of the most talented directors in the business right now, but if this report is any indication, fans dodged a serious bullet it terms of her creative direction on this film. With production on the film to begin this fall, Warners has ample time to find a worthy replacement for the film, although MacLaren's involvement with the writing process means the new director will more than likely have to start from scratch.

How about they just hire a good director? If it's male, that's no prob either because the majority of strong female characters have been directed by men.
