More of a low-budget meta-horror flick.

I think it's probably worth checking out if you're a fan of George Romero's early films up until Dawn of the Dead. Lots of familiar faces involved, notably Tom Savini and Joe Pilato.

I guess some people might find it to be a snooze, but I dig it.

Same here. I also remember the Joe Pilato interview being pretty entertaining.

Think I'll revisit this one sooner than not.

I own a ton of Something Weird DVD’s, but none of them have been released on blu ray yet. Bloody Pit of Horror would be great, or maybe some Doris Wishman films?

Great news about She Mob coming in 2020!

Next:

We need a Findlays box set with all three Flesh movies, A Thousand Pleasures and anything else SWV can dig up on them.

And then all the Olga movies.

And then a big stack of David F. Freidman movies starting with A Smell of Honey, a Swallow of Brine

I thought I read somewhere that Indicator or someone was working on a Doris Wishman box set. Although it is entirely possible I just dreamt it....

You definitely didn't dream it though I think it may have been Arrow

The Italian print of Bloody Pit of Horror is by far the best, but I do
Not know if it ever had a HD scan. It is also the original edit. The A Tale of Torture version is also uncut but some scenes are edited differently. The version released by Image was the shorter Bloody Pit of Horror version with the extra stuff in the extras because that print was worn.

This is from a German DVD release using the Italian uncut master.

Not a direct screen cap. Just taken with my phone. The colors are vibrant with lots of subtleties.

I "need" the last 3 movies in your list, but can only find Scary Movie in their sale.

Arrow are supposed to be doing an HGL syle set og Doris Wishman films as well as a similar one for William Grefe. It was confirmed by Lisa on the SWV Facebook group ages ago but haven't heard anything since.

I ordered them from Amazon. I received Effects, Scary Movie, and The Films of Sarah Jacobson in the mail yesterday. Wicked World will ship when it is released.

I like AGFA. They release these low-budget disasters that are somehow endlessly rewatchable.

Thanks, Owl. I thought I was missing something in the Grindhouse sale. May go Az route to get the 3 that I want. AGFA releases are indeed fun movies.

Yeah, I've got a couple instances of "Ooooh, I might like that!", but those orders are in limbo until I get an idea what Severin and VS are doing.

I think I am going to overspend now, and keep 2020 as light as possible until the Severin/VS BF sales again.

I'm hoping VS will have some AGFA titles in their 'staff picks' section, so I can tag it onto my BF sale order, since I've already paid the flat rate international postage. I'm wanting The Sword and the Claw and The Violent Years particularly.

Do they do decent sales on other labels? I have never ventured outside of VS on Black Friday for purchases on their website.
