Nooooooo don't say these things!

Think Mummy, not Bourne Identity.

Only care about the first one. My days of buying these collections for one film is over. Dope cover art though.

I wonder if each film gets its own case in the box set or they are stuffed in cardboard envelopes.

It's the same design as the Jurassic Park Collection that came out just before World.

It already got a 4K restoration for its 20th anniversary. I think we're good.

He, he, do we even know they did any significant work on the video of the films?

The only thing we know for sure is JP1 has a 4K scan. I don't think they did fresh 4K scans of JP2 and JP3. They will most likely be just upscales of the 1080p master with the same ugly ass blue-magenta tinted colours, not the warm theatrical print colours.

As for JW1, I heard they finished the DI in 2.5K. If so, then it'll also be an upscale. It is highly unlikely that they'll go through the trouble of scanning the original 35mm and 65mm film negatives separately. Most of the film is littered with CGI and finished in a DI suite.

Also, they didn't even bother to add any new special features. After two decades, no deleted scenes for JP1 and JP3, even though they are heavily documented all over the internet (with pictures)???

It seems Universal's home video department knows that no matter what they do, these sets will still sell like hot cakes. So, why should they do any work at all to make this release a solid one?

By the way, it's always good to see JP3 getting some love from fans here. I always have a soft spot for that one.
And no, I'm not Joe Johnston in disguise.

Why no deleted scenes, why???

Did Spielberg, Johnston burn them, like Kubrick used to?

The double T-Rex attack is awesome, no doubt, but there's something about the movie in general that just doesn't click for me.

JP is still the daddy of 'em all, it's damned near perfect and having seen it in the cinema as a kid I still get chills watching it all these years later, my appreciation for it has only grown stronger.

I totally understand not seeing the appeal of that goofiness if you expect/want a more serious film, but TLW's sense of humor is a big part of what I loves about it. The San Diego sequence is wonderfully entertaining, it's Spielberg just letting loose and having fun, paying tribute to the monster movies of his youth.

The Japanese tourists running from the T. rex are great, always loved that the one closest to the camera is shouting "I left Japan to get away from this!" in his native tongue.

I have it! It's fun, and Michael Giacchino's music is vair gud. It's interesting how he scored two Jurassic Park games in the '90s and has now returned to the franchise to score the two latest films. He'll probably be back for the sixth (and final?) one, too.

Forgive the probably idiotic question, but why does this set need the regular BD discs? Is it because UHD is still in the infancy period and thus they must be provided, or are they trying to get more sales a la DVD combo packs? Because you figure everyone probably has these already on BD, and ditching the BDs could have probably provided for actual trays instead of stupid envelopes...

I didn't hear the Japanese person say anything. All I heard was the men screaming. There weren't even any subtitles. Aren't you thinking of the Inspector Gadget movie, where a Japanese man shouts "This is why I left Tokyo!"?

I, for one, love TLW. I just wish the deleted scenes that explore the characters were left in.

They should make a 4k only version without the blu ray discs and charge less
