Should be. It's been quite a while since Disney has released a UHD that didn't come with a code that also redeemed in 4K.

The botched transition at 2:37 and the swapped shots at 3:00 were fixed on the corrected Diamond disc, but that's about it.

My Diamond Edition of Little Mermaid is the messed up version I was never able to get the Replacement the Window had closed. Glad now I'll be able to get the Corrected Version.

Keeping them. Packaging and content wise, the Diamond Editions have been superior so far. I don’t really see them as duplicates as the discs are different. Plus, I still have a 3D TV.

I really don't mind importing at all and it's actually the rule with me, but having to import US Disney UHDs in particular, is becoming really annoying as in rather expensive lately because of the amazon.com/Disney bullshit and wowhd also charging taxes now...

Having said that, I still buy the Disneys day-1 because I do like me my Disney slips plus they tend to remain rather expensive anyway. wowhd also already shipped Ralph 2 and Mermaid earlier this week, so that's at least something.

I'm also going UK whenever I can by now though (Poppins for ex).

I'm amazed that we got Lion King at all, given that Disney haven't released any of their/Pixar's CG animated stuff over here on UHD (apart from that exclusive Incredibles 2 disc in that stupid samsung popcorn club thing), and reading between the lines it would appear that LK didn't sell well enough to justify any further animated releases.

Will have to import then, I'll wait for mario to get it and for the price to drop way down.

I don't have the correct version of the Diamond Edition but honestly it doesn't bother me. I wouldn't even had known it unless I read about it on here.

I contacted Amazon customer service on chat a few days ago to hear any news on this 4K-release on Amazon.com and frankly only got 'mumbo jumbo' from them.

First person I talked to wondered if I were talking about the Signature collection Blu-ray, even though I specified the 4K UHD.. ? I was transferred and a second customer service agent said that it could be that the title would be released on Amazon on 26 February but also that their webpage was possibly not updated (=faulty) on this matter. When I asked what exactly he meant by this he said I would have to wait a few days and see, he could not clarify any further.

No mention by them of the Disney/Amazon 'conflict' or any Prime member-only purchase right or any such thing.

I sometimes wonder at the competence and training of these customer service agents.

Yeah and what they actually meant is "could be released as a prime-exclusive on Amazon on 26 February" (as is still the case with Nutcracker - just checked). I gave up on Disney UHDs from amazon.com.

I don't like amazon anyway and avoid them as much as possible (in Germany and the UK in particular). With the US there's a painfull lack of alternatives by now though. Also thx to folk buying from them instead of the actual price leaders I might add - I find that frustrating every single time. Maybe the'll get it if amazon is their only option is well.

After watching the Diamond Edition last night I don't know how the 4K could really improve that much but maybe I am wrong.
