Returnal is one of the most frustrating, exhilarating, and rewarding gaming experiences I've ever had. It was a joyfully agonizing game to play. That is all.

The highest tier for this is a joke as it is now. Yeah classic games are cool and all, but where the hell are they? They need more and fast. They expect people to pay that extra amount for that crap selection? It was nice getting some "free" PS1 games though (the ones I purchased digitally on PS3/PSP back in the day). Sucks not all of them can be had though without a sub, like Tekken 2 or Resident Evil DC, which I also bought back in the day. Such BS. I can only imagine (and dream) how things would be if they actually had gamers that weren't out of touch with reality at the helm making the decisions at all these companies.

I’ll be signing up the Extra tier in a couple of days to experience Stray, since it looks like they won’t sale it at this point.

I’m on the top tier at the moment, but come the time to renew I’ll be downgraded to the middle option. However I will say that without it I would have never tried Greedfall which although it’s not my kind of game, I’m loving it.

I’m close to cracking the first dome. It is incredibly frustrating but rewarding when things open up a little.

Those weren't the ones I was wondering about. I was curious about the additional monthly games like Stray and the random changes to the available "free" game category available to those that have purchased Premium and Extra

Still there? It’s been like my second home. Know every bloody area apart from the area I needed to find (the room with the blade!).

Found it now though. That was key to reaching the boss.

Nearly drove me mad because every area was becoming more difficult with extra baddies.

My essential subscription expires in February. I hope a 12 month subscription will be on sale come this Black Friday for $30-40.

I have 60 days left on my essential renewal. If I were to upgrade to premium for the remainder of that, could I go back to essential on the renewal date or does it commit you to premium for a full year?

As per your question, I don’t know how you would “downgrade” the membership. I just know I’m not paying to upgrade for 1 game.

Yeah, it would be great if it was one of the monthly PS Plus Essential games like they offered with some games when they launched prior to the new PS Plus, but I'm not sure why it would be considered anti-consumer to try to promote their new PS Plus by putting a fairly big title on it Day 1. Just because you don't agree with this particular choice doesn't make it anti-consumer. They have done other things that would qualify as anti-consumer much more than this.

I'm not upgrading for Stray either, but that's because it would only cost me $7 extra to own it since it would cost me $23 to upgrade. I might as well own it whenever I choose to buy it.

Well I just checked.

Stray is available to buy now here for $39.99.

Watched some reviews. Seems fairly positive with game length being the negative. Will probably check it out.

No info before hand on it being purchasable probably so Sony could push people to upgrading their Plus.

I’ll still probably upgrade for it, as I want the physical edition and don’t want to double dip. I see no reason I wouldn’t be able to just cancel my subscription before the renewal. There is at least a couple other games I’m interested in playing, so it will be worth it.
