How does the "check in id your movie is missing" feature work?

My theater just got the Oscar Nominated Shorts, and I plan on seeing them this weekend, but they are not liated on the app... and they aren't special screenings, they are regularly priced movies. So I plan on using this feature tomorrow, just wanted a heads up on what to expect! Thanks in advance
It's as easy as pie.

Just hit the "Check in if you're movie is missing" button, and the money gets loaded onto the card instantly. No different than if you were checking in to the actual movie & time.

Sweet thanks... ya it was easy... but my paranoid mind kicks in now and thinks that they look at people who use that feature a bit differently. They see I used that and use it as grounds to kick me off, even though it was a legit purchase!

I looked at MP today and seems they added the new version. I don't know if I like it or not. I'll have to look it more.

Had a minor hiccup with it tonight. The app wouldn't load when I got to the theater tonight, tried to open it 4 times and it just wouldn't go, so I paid in cash. I decided to check again when I sat down just for the hell of it and sure enough it pops right up. Luckily I'm a regular at the theater so they gave me a refund and let me rebuy with the card with like a minute to spare, whew.

question about movie pass....

So you have to go to the theater and check in and then buy your ticket right...question is, theaters that have reserved seating, can you check in the morning before they open, buy the ticket at a kiosk and pick your seat? or do you pick your seat through the app? Theater near me is usually pretty crowded so showing up 20 min before the movie could result in horrible seats. Hope this question makes sense...how do you hand reserved seating theaters that are busy on the weekends.

You can only buy your ticket a half hour before show time. Basically your left with whatever reserved seats are available. I've actually been avoiding the reserve seat theatres with moviepass unless I can attend on off hours or for a movie that's been out for a while.

Not true. You have 30 minutes to buy your ticket AFTER you check in. You can buy your ticket any time on the same day, you just have to be at the theater to do so.

Ding ding ding!

You can go to a 10:30pm movie on a Friday night, then when the movie lets out, you can by your Saturday night ticket on your way back through the lobby.

Wow! That's pretty cool! I was under the impression you could only buy your ticket a half hour before show time. Thanks for setting me straight!

Bought my 7pm showing of Black Panther about 45 minutes ago. Stopped into the Regal near my house on my way home from work. Didn't wanna risk it with all the praise its getting, plus the weather is super crappy. I except a nice turnout for a Tuesday night.

A little off topic question guys:

My friend recently made AMC stubs and he gave me his second key card so I can use it too.*
On Tuesdays, they have that half off regular ticket prices deal.
However, he already went to watch a movie today.
Would I still be able to take advantage of the half price thing?

Or is it 1 offer per membership?

I don't think there's a limit to how many $5 tickets you can get on one Tuesday.

NO LIMIT on that at all... I have gone to the movies with my friend on Tuesdays (before I got movie pass) and i would use it for my.ticket then hand it to my friend and he would use it for his ticket with no issue.
