The Shining 4K UHD (1980)

I was looking at my Shining print today and for the past few weeks I've been wondering if it's the right colour, it's more orange than yellow and the Doctor Sleep promo stuff is yellow. I don't know if they got the colour right on this. On Google Images most results show the poster for The Shining as being yellow.

Is this for sure? I haven't checked any of the leaked Black Friday ads for the US. That's an awesome price for what seems like (based on reviews and worth of mouth) one of the best 4K discs out there.

You do realize this is excerpts from the making of the Shining Documentary
filmed by Vivian Kubrick during the making of the film. This was included as an extra on both the previous Blu-ray edition and the new 4k UHD addition. This is not new material, so you obviously have never owned the film on either of the previous iterations, or you would have seen it already.

Got the 4K DV digital copy from iTunes. Best option in Canada as I did not see it on Best Buy Canada. Amazon does not have it on prime but from 3rd parties (at high $$)

Today, walked past Sunrise Records at the mall but did not go in (films were not on my mind). Searched Walmart.ca for the Shining 4k but the film did not show up in the search. Now watching this on Apple TV 4K. It is no black bars, 2hrs 23mins run time, looks good so far. Will see how the night shots look (I think I saw the chopper blades on one of the hotel shots taken from a helicopter). Don’t have it in other formats so can’t compare

Anyone else found that the audio is delayed for the first 10 minutes of the film then settles down? Particularly apparent during Ullman’s chat with Jack. UK UHD Disc.

Correct, I have never owned The Shining on BD until this 4K release.

That is the exact experience I had viewing the 4K on my X700, with the sound going to the amp, and the video going to the TV.

Watched the film in two parts. Since I watched this after a long time (maybe saw this many moons ago), it felt like watching for the first time.

Many of the images reminded me of pictures that I had taken with my old Nikon D700, Nikon's first compact full-frame DSLR launched in 2008, and Carl Zeiss manual focusing prime lens! For that and the quality of the Kubrick film, I give the 4K HDR/DV iTunes version a

Same Here, Sound Not synched in Beginning but then settles. Haven‘t checked the digital copy yet. Screams for an exchange!

I don't know why they decided to get rid of most of their 4K online product pages. It makes price matching at other places that much harder as well.
