I got this in the mail today:

I used to have the US version, but this UK version is supposed to have better picture quality, plus the US version has some mild audio sync issues that this one isn't supposed to have.

Good evening Joe....never had any audio sync issues with my copy. We have watched it three times since I got it.

I tried two different discs on two different setups at two different times and both seemed to be slightly off to me in certain scenes. It was very, very subtle, but in a few spots the audio was slightly ahead of the video, although it was easily fixed by delaying the audio in the avr by a few ms.

The main reason I got it though is because the video quality is supposed to be slightly better than the US version, which is already very good. On my 130" screen every little thing is magnified. A subtle improvement on most things becomes a marked improvement, and minor flaws I notice on my 42" plasma are magnified into major flaws. So it really brings out the good and the bad.

What you up to tonight? I'm about to do my weekly/bi-weekly concert blu's and beers night.

Just stopping in for a few to see what was happening. Are you considering getting the Eagles BD of their Farewell tour to add to your concert collection? I could not find a vid either but this might work if you hum the lyrics.

I would like to get it, but there are a few other things higher up on my list I'd like to get. Most of them are discs that I used to have but sold to pay my bills when I got laid off from my last job. Other than new releases, I used to have pretty much everything that I wanted, so 90% of my blu-ray purchases are just re-buys.

I watched some of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Concert then I checked out a little of my new UK version of Watchmen. Now I'm watching the Alice in Chains Unplugged DVD. Hope you enjoy season 2.

That's cool I'm just taking a little break from GoT . Still on the first episode and its off to a exciting start . The PQ doesn't seem as good as S1 unless my eyes are betraying me .But AQ is as good or better . Thanks man I'm enjoying it very much .

Those are my thoughts about it exactly.

My main complaint about the picture quality of season 2 is that the black levels are not quite as good as on season 1 which makes it seem slightly more washed out with less contrast, depth and "pop". It ain't bad, but it ain't no season 1, which is one of the best looking BDs ever. Season 1 had great audio, but I do think season 2 seems to have more scenes with some deep punchy LFE and more surround activity.

Ok cool I'm glad it wasn't me or my eyes but yes it did look washed out and not as detailed especially for a bluray and after S1 that had top notch VQ it was very noticeable to me . Ok back to S2 to see what surprises are in store
