Target General Deals Thread

Well I went with Doom Patrol Season 2 and Titans Season 3 Blu Rays because I had a 5% birthday coupon and a $10 giftcard(don't remember where I got it lol).

So with that and Redcard it only cost $29. Otherwise I wasn't going to buy anything. >.>

I just got back from Target and bought these 2.

One was a Steelbook and Belle included a slipcover.

I got the 4 Star Trek:TNG 4Ks for total of $59.73 after Red Card discount and $10 off $60 Circle offer. Not too bad. Imagine Amazon may have them for around $12 at some point but who knows when.

I don't have a ton of Switch games, but I've definitely bought several of the ones I do have during either B2G1 sales or 30% off game sales, so I was surprised to find a lot of them excluded from this one. So from my vantage point, this sale seems to be more of the exception rather than the norm.

The first party Nintendo stuff is always excluded from sales like this. Especially the bigger name Mario stuff. Your best bet will be MAR10 day (March 10) where Mario games will be slightly discounted like $10-20 off. Or Black Friday.

Put all the Nintendo games you want in the "saved for later" section. As soon as these type of sales begin, you can see if they've been accidentally included or not.

Had no idea this was going on until I looked at their weekly circular just now.

Been wanting a deal on both these for a while now, and have watching HoD bounce around a buck or two for the last month +, but always over $30.



Total (using a $5 GC) - $45.60 ($20.69 each, pre tax)

As usual, shame there's no Shout, Criterion, or WA. But even if this is the only order I make, I'm pretty damn happy 'bout it!

I'd recommend checking the WarGames disc when you get it -- for some reason, that one seems to have more than usual the amount of issues with scratches for the 4K disc based on threads on the forum. I've never had a problem with a Shout disc before (despite reading about others' experiences), but for whatever reason, both times I tried to buy that one from Amazon, the copies were seriously scratched up.

Most of the time I just file this stuff away. SF has me trained with with their product to check it as soon as I get it.

So far, even with scratched discs I haven't experienced any playback issues so far.
But there's always going to be a first time.

Sucks to hear how extensive the issue is with that particular title, as I've been itching to revisit it for a while now.

Midnight Run is an upcoming Shout title if that movie interests you and it's part of the promotion despite pre-orders generally being excluded.

Great movie, but I'm fine with the Bd for that.

The ones I was hoping for were Wargames, Carrie, Black Christmas, as well as a few of the Hammer releases I never got around to picking up.

Happy to at least get one of them. I'll bide my time on the rest.
