Does Target still sell CDs?

I know Walmart has a very small uninteresting selection of CDs.

I went to Meijer on one of my latest Movie Shopping trips and asked where the CDs were and the girl said they don't sell CDs.

My Target has a very limited selection of CDs in store. They might have a bigger selection online. I got some nice Target exclusive records in store though.

Their section is about the same amount of what Wal-Mart has. My local stores just have a 4 sided endcap thing the cds are on now, and then a section of vinyl as well.

If I buy cds, its pretty much Target or a 35 minute drive to an Exclusive Company.

These days, you likely would've gotten a more positive response if you asked about vinyl. Crazy, I know.

And, I bet there'd be CDs nearby.


FWIW: Target does get new CDs in (I've seen them), but they are limited, and they tend to focus on their "exclusives."

Pssh. Who cares about exclusive songs when you can just hear them online, right?

I picked up the Raya Exclusive this morning, and also wanted the MI 25th Blu-ray. While the website said the store had it in "limited" stock, none were found.

Looking around other stores in my area, it does indeed appear to be only available online at Target.

I was at target today and all the raya's exclusive must have sold out. Along with the Animal House and the Sting 4k Steelbooks. Unless they didn't put them out and just said sold out on the site. I never know with target anymore.

A few weeks ago the site said they had Speed 4k. Go to the store and none in the spot.

As a Target employee, we get movies in all the time, but I don’t think that section is a high priority for the team updating the displays. I only work nights and I’ve come in on a Tuesday night with them just putting out new releases.

As a Target customer, it's hit-and-miss.

The last few weeks, the endcaps were stocked and ready with the new releases. This morning, however, the Raya 4K exclusives were missing.

The gentleman was stocking *books* (of all things), but when I asked about Raya, he immediately went back to find it for me. Brought out all *four* copies the store got, and let me pick one.

These are the types of interactions that make me return to Target for new releases, and more. Maybe it's just me and/or my store, but I've definitely developed that relationship where they know I'm a repeat customer, and I appreciate their service.

YMMV, but a handful of JBL Bluetooth speakers are on clearance at my local store. Normally $350 marked all the way down to $130. Making space for the new models I suppose.
