I'll wait for Training Day to hit $10 on Black Friday, that artwork is just hideous and I only gave the movie a 6 or 7. Was not impressed with the filmmaking or writing, Denzel Washington carried the whole show.

Wow. I can't agree with you about that film. Ethan Hawke was great as well (oscar nominated for it), and the writing IMO was fantastic. I'd give that film 9/10.

But I do agree that I won't pay that much for a catalog title. Since I already own the BD, I probably won't even pay to upgrade it...

I was thinking of waiting because you are correct, most of these WB catalog titles end up about $10 on BF. I got this for $18 (a little more than I wanted to pay) but I needed two movies for this Target deal and it was one of my choices.

Although I agree the artwork is hideous, I thought Training Day was excellent. I'd say probably a 7.5 or 8 out of 10. But it does seem like a title that will be cheap on BF for those of us (like me) with a huge backlog to work through

Target got it backwards!

They sent my slip cover movies in a box, and the steelbooks in a bubble mailer.

Will inspect later after work the condition of the steelbooks.

New Zelda, Metroid Prime remaster, and Pikmin 4 are part of this deal now. You can always order two of each and cancel the 2nd one and still get the 25% off.

Strange World was such a flop for Disney, it didn't even make it in the ad.

It's funny that after Lightyear and Strange World did so poorly for Disney, they were quick to announce on their call this week, Toy Story 5, Frozen 3 and Zootopia 2.

I suspect Casablanca, Rebel without a Cause, Maltese Falcon, Cool Hand Luke, The Exorcist will be $10 on Black Friday too. It will depend on Best Buy if they end up keeping the prices at $10 or jack it up to $20 because they've been doing some fishy price jacking lately on their website.

Is there a trick to using Target's search that I'm unaware of, or do they just not carry a bunch of titles?

I feel like 90% of the stuff I search for just doesn't show up, but since it throws 900 other results at me, I never know if they just don't stock it at all or if the search function is bad

Just use Google - for example, "[title] bluray target" - if Target carries it, the product page should be near the top of your search results.

This method also works well to confirm if an item is "sold out" through the Target site (something that was previously searchable in Target but seems to have disappeared once you search it again).

Interesting. My order from Wednesday evening for the Young Sherlock Holmes Steel and Venom Let There Be Carnage 4K was delivered today! (It works out to about $12.50 each before tax, so not a terrible sale for newer stuff.)

I got an "out for delivery" email this morning, and ignored it, because the last several sale orders this just meant it was handed off from UPS to USPS and I had more days to wait.

Appears to be a new shipper out of Indiana. Each title came separately in a brown envelope, but both were about as mint as anything these days. Don't know if that's blind luck or props for the shipping company's handling.

(Also thanks to Bolty I was able to pre-order the TNG 4Ks for about $16.50 each before tax while they were still up.)
