I've been waiting for this for a while, Live Aid was such a good show. Even when I watch it today for like the hundreth time it still gives me goosebumps. I can't wait to pick this up, Queen is my favorite band of all time

I agree. I saw a VH1 Behind The Music on Queen. The band was separated at the time of Live Aid, not broken up, just taking a breather and venturing into solo efforts away from Queen. They were asked to do Live Aid and they jumped at the chance. They came in and absolutely rocked the place. Bob Geldof said they were hands down the best set of the day. Live Aid energized the band again and they resumed making records after. They never stopped until freddie's death.

Though not my favorite band of all time, they rank up there as one of my favorites. Freddie is the best frontman I've seen.

noway dude...jim morrison (greatest frontman), but freddie is up there

Yeah I think Freddie was doing a solo album and than Live Aid came around and they lit the place up. The crowd was with them 100% and Freddie had the crowd right in the palm of his hand. And I thought their last three albums were very good. And "Innuendo" was right up there on my list

Any problems with any Blu that prevent replication will result in a 4-6 week delay

Thumbs up Queen Rock Montreal Anticipation Thread

Okay, who else is excited about this?

Screw all the blockbusters, this is my most anticipated release of Q4. Other Queen DVDs (Live at the Bowl, Greatest Video Hits, etc.) have had excellent DTS 96/24 and PCM Stereo audio mixes. Anyone know if we're getting anything even better on Blu-ray? The official website only says "newly mixed and mastered for DTS Surround Sound and PCM Stereo," but doesn't specify for Blu-ray. I have found no definitive specs anywhere, it's all TBA...

In any case, I can't believe the price for this. It's a steal.

It would be a day 1 for me, but I have to have something on my Christmas list. I'm totally pumped to rock out.... alone in my room.

Amazon, too! You're right about the sound on their last few videos. This group takes extra care to make the sound as good as possible. Brian and Roger have to be thanked for their oversight of these projects. I like the way they went back and remixed NATO after the DTS CD/DVD-A version. I like the new DVD mix much better. I hope they're proud of their work. I know I appreciate it.

Depend on Audio.. if it's the DTS HD MA, i have no incentive on buying it at release since i don't have the hardware to play it (have the receiver but not the player)

Even if it is DTS HD MA, the core should be as good if not better than the audio on the DVDs and that was already amazing.

I rented it from NetFlix and it arrived yesterday. Gonna throw it onto the PS3 and turn up the volume tonight!

It oughta be good! I'm excited mostly for the LiveAid portion. That show absolutely rocked.
