Not 7.1, but have you seen The Descent? Lionsgate has included a 6.1 PCM track. Wonderful use of your rear speakers.

Lair has 7.1 PCM and so does R:FOM. Also I believe Ratchet and Clank will have it 7.1.

Ghost in the Shell 2 : Innocence from Japan is the first Blu-ray Disc with 7.1 PCM audio - and yes it's an English 7.1 PCM track.

House of 1000 Corpses will have 7.1 PCM too.
Dr. Strange has 7.1 DTS-HD MA.
Ultimate Avengers, Daddy's Little Girls and Waiting have 7.1 PCM.

i am watching ultimate avengers right now. holy crap. this sounds absolutely amazing. everything needs to be put out in 7.1 lpcm and to all of you who don't have it, 7.1 that is. what's wrong with you? the pq on this is decent most of the time as well.

more speakers = better experience. 7.1 has a center 2 fronts 2 sides 2 rears and a sub. 5.1 only has 1 center 2 front and 2 back.

Why does a movie like "Waiting" (https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?id=341) offer 7.1 sound, but a movie like "The Fifth Element (Remastered)" (https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?id=456) still only offer 5.1? It's pissing me off. I wish more titles would offer 7.1 support.

I know a lot of us the ability to listen to movies in 6 or 7.1 but there aren't a lot of movies that harness the power. I know We Were Soldiers and X3 have 6.1, but what other movies have it. I'd really like to watch those and now I won't have to buy them, I could just rent them.

there is only one problem with this and any other titles like this - they are not movies made for surround sound, like action movies are. Alot of movies wont matter if they are pro-logic, 5.1,6.1 or 7.1 because they just dont have alot of sound to them.

Cause Lionsgate apparently likes making 7.1 movies.

well, 5.1 is in front of you, and to the sides of you.

7.1 is in front of you, to the sides of you, and behind you. a full 360 if you will.

anyways, what I want to ask is...for movies with 6.1...does anyone know if the ps3 automatically post processes and outputs as 7.1 ...the ps3 only has settings to output as 5.1 or 7.1....no 6.1....so does this mean the ps3 can post process the 6.1? even if the reciever is incapable of this post processing?? this would be really cool in itself, and seems to be the case....

like Crank is 6.1 but the ps3 will output as 7.1...

and if you have the new Onkyo 605, it cannot post process a PCM signal...so when you get a disc thats 6.1, the ps3 will do the post processing...but I have not read this is proven, but seing that the ps3 cannot output 6.1 and instead is in 7.1, this seems to be the case...does nayone know what im saying?? cool feature!

Have a question about 6.1/7.1 PCM movies.
I'm using the 5 channel analog out of my Sony s300 to my Lexicon processor for PCM. I have a 5.1 setup. Does that mean I cannot get the full sound benefit of 6.1/7.1 PCM movies?
Watched Crank last night and the audio quality wasn't nearly as good as I thought it would be.
