Almost always start on normal. Never play easy. If the game is worth going thru a second time, I will play on a harder difficulty. Only exception to that is if normal is to easy then, I will restart and play on a higher difficulty. This would apply to like Dark Sector which was beyond easy even on normal. Very few games will I actually play more than twice but, have done so for all of the CoD games playing them on increasingly more difficult levels.

I will always tend to start on normal, I'll often adjust depending on the type of game in question however. I use to start on hard all the time, but found that I enjoyed the game less this way (not for action or fighting games though).

I was just going to say something to this effect. I always would play games on the hardest available difficulty, Survivor on Bioshock, BBH on MS4 , and then went back on the BE. And then I played Veteran or whatever on K2, and I experienced the same amount of frustration as any other game but realized, this isn't even fun because I'm just pissed half the time. So normal it is for me from now on.

I usually start on easy and work my way up.
If the game is too easy I quit playing and change the difficulty level. Of course I also use to playing games where medium difficulty has certain requirements say like sacred, where your character has to be a certain level. Of course one game taught me to be careful on what difficulty you play on there was one if your character died the game erased your character and its saves for your character. |

But I enjoyed the other fps's because they had an interesting plot and the fighting got you somewhere. KZ2 was a soul less shooter with fraking stupid characters. *cough* RICO *cough*
All my opinion naturally but I thought KZ2's singleplayer sucked |

For some reason i had that feeling with R2. I think is the fact that even if the big monster boss or huge and very cool, you don't seems to damage it while shooting at it and it just die after a while...

I'm a casual player, who sucks at most things next-gen, my forte is all N64 and Gamecube - so my three PS3 games, I start on Easy, then work my way to Normal, then Hard. Right now I'm working on Medal of Honor: Airborne on Hard - s.o.b.'s tough, take two-three bullets and you're dead, damn MG fire can keep me pinned down for minutes.
