I agree. Hell, my original PS1 is still kicking, and my PS2 was an onriginal realease and still kicking. My PS3 is a 60GB and running great, practically 24/7. Always well ventilated, always at least on a decent surge strip.

thanks for the feedback guys! sony have decided to offer me a new one! we got throught to Tech Department and the ps3s i recieved were the problems they were brought in for in the 1st place so im happy! i kind of felt annoyed people questioning my ability to look after my console but HEY that was bound to happen so now how do you close the Forum!
