Until I turned it back on .. but it would eventually shut off again if I did not fix the speaker wire touching the back of the receiver. ALL of the wire strands need to be in the connector. It sounds like maybe something more serious on yours though.

Just a question to the OP. Do you by chance have your speakers bi-amped?

but i think i plugged it in into a bi-amp input by accident
