They had a significant time lead to establish market leadership.

They lead in nothing except their software now being more expensive..
Trends are going in the opposite directions since the PS3 landed
Top 10 trend looks like it might even be worse since Blockbuster announcment.

Last time I looked it certainly wasn't this lopsided...but that was awhile ago.

Any war can continue even if it's only a few to keep it going..

I have. The most recent sales ratio was 67% to 33%. This is from the Neilson data. Not just Amazon.

Although at eProduct wars I only see two titles in the top 10 for HD DVD that are preorders. the other 8 have already been released. Whille BD has one title in the top 10 that is a preorder and 9 titles that are already released. So I think you need to pay more attention unless 20% of the top 10 equates to most titles in the top 10. But 20% equates to 1/5th in this universe.

true. however remember last summer and early fall when toshiba and hddvd were flying high and everyone thought sony was a bunch of loons for pricing their players so high when in reality they were stashing blue diodes for the ps3 launch in november. same thing is happening now with content, they are waiting to use it at the most opportune moment.

Look again. Clearly 4 of the HD-DVD Top 10 are preorders... don't know why that's hard to see.

OK but you still miss the main point either on purpose or just oversight. The only movie in the entire HD-DVD Top 10 that is a current release AND is actually avaliable right now is "Breach" at #8. If you think that isn't a significant point then you just aren't smart.
