When people do stuff like that, it's not a recommendation, it's a thinly veiled boast.

I did not make it up. I read Penton talking about it on his insider's post. The Kuro is one of the displays to test BD's because it is capable of displaying a reference source. I am sure that studios test with projectors too. By the way, what's your problem? I don't understand the attitude.

What attitude? I just think that's made up, I'm not inclined to believe it without a source, and I agree with the OP about impulsive Kuro-ballyhoo. I can just as easily ask: why so defensive?

I have to agree with the OP. Most people in this thread knows Pioneer has the superior product, and I like many who don't own one want one. The problem is that for many of us they are just out of our price range. If someone asks about a couple of $1300 TV's I just don't see it as productive to say forget those and get a $2100 TV...that is if you can find a Kuro for that. We don't know what more they have to spend or even want to spend. When the price range is roughly the same then yeah I will suggest a Kuro, but when the gap is that large I refrain from it. My last TV purchase was budgeted at $1200 and I was not going to go beyond that. I also wasn't going to wait...my personal decision. As for my next set I just may go the Kuro route if I can swing it since that's what I now have my eyes on, but there is also the possibility of an alternative.

Kuro sucks, I'd rather have a Vizio.

I am not getting sensitive at all (well maybe now I am). I am just responding because you are calling me a liar. You obviously have nothing positive to contribute to Blu-ray or home theater discussions. Rather, you get your jollies by offending other members and trying to be outrageous. But you are not fooling anyone.

Look, the OP brought up a totally valid point, and everybody (including you) jumped in and crapped all over it. It was in bad taste, it annoyed me, and I expressed that view. Now, you are in fact pretending to know all about me. I don't appreciate the rude generalization. I think that you, in fact, should examine your own role in this, and back off.
