The Director's Cut ending for "Butterfly Effect". I really thought it kept with what the film was really about. Not the stupid, generic, "cheesy" ending everyone saw in the theaters....

"Freedom" --Braveheart
"Easing/Honoring death" --Last Samurai
[Show spoiler]Angelina Jolie's final scene
--Wanted
"Curtain scenes"--Austin Powers movies (yes, LAUGHTER is a very strong emotion!)

Tried to think of a good one that sparks ANGER/HATRED toward a particular character, but I'm too tired right now. (Something sparks my mind, a "typical hostage scene", where the bad guy just straight up offs the girlfriend/hostage instead of dealing with her. Of course, I may be thinking of the video game
[Show spoiler]The Darkness, where Jackie gets to watch his girlfriend get mercilessly slaughtered before his eyes, with nothing he can do to save her.

Of course, my #1 in a video game: Xenosaga: Episode 2: Der Ville Zur Macht--
[Show spoiler]Albedo's final "death" scene, where he is taken to the heavens by "angels" while hanging in a crucifix-like manner.

There are numerous good examples of hatred generated by characters in video games, but that is the rare occasion in which you get to ACT OUT your own anger/hatred towards said character.

When the
[Show spoiler]dog dies
in Michael.

When the
[Show spoiler]dog gets hit and appears dead
in My Dog Skip. this one hit a little harder because I have the same kind of dog, almost identical looking

the end of Life As A House. this one hit home because
[Show spoiler]my father passed away

A couple of movies have affected me emotionally:

*”Children of Men” is pretty depressing all around. One part towards the end that particularly affected me is when
[Show spoiler]the two main characters are walking out of the war-torn building with the baby in their hands (the last human baby on Earth nonetheless). All of the fighting stops suddenly, and people from both sides are watching, stroking, and even bowing before the baby
.

*”Requiem For a Dream,” another depressing work overall. I think one of the very last scenes really did it for me, when they showed Jared Leto’s character reaching out towards this vision of his girlfriend on the docks, but it falls away from him.

*”The Passion.” Very intense portrayal. The second-to-last shot in the movie is especially invoking; it almost resembles a painting or something.

There are various other tidbits as well, like the ending for “Star Wars: Return of the Jedi” when
[Show spoiler] Vader kills the emperor
; the ending for “LOTR: ROTK,” when evil is finally vanquished; the ending for “Armageddon,” when Harry blows up the meteor; the ending for "Pan's Labyrinth" (which actually kind of ticked me off).

Aw heck, it looks like big endings really affect me.

I’m sure there are movies out there that make me happy too, but I can’t think of what they are right now. It takes a lot to make me want to cry in a movie, so these really stick out in my head.

My #1 emotional video game moment: Final Fantasy VII, where
[Show spoiler]Aerith dies before Cloud's eyes when Sephiroth just stabs her from behind.

The end of Warrior stuck with me a little bit. And without a doubt Schindlers List, scene after scene.

The scene in Powder when he goes to the sheriff's house and then when his son comes back home. That scene gets me all the time and I've seen the movie like 20 times.
