Default Considering which Blu-ray to buy next.

Hi fellow forum users. Let me begin my Blu-Ray experience. I have owned a ps3 for sometime now, but have been a little shortcoming in using the Blu-Ray technology. Lately I have purchased a few blu-rays. They are,

300.
Simpsons Movie
Tropic Thunder.

I am planning on purchasing a new Blu-Ray soon. I have read the many reviews out there on sites and forums, and have pin-pointed it down to either Transformers Special Edition, Sin City, or one of the Pixar movies such as Ratatouille or A Bugs Life. I have seen all of them and enjoy all of them.

For those who own one of the three blu-rays that I own above, how does the picture quality of say 300 compare to Transformers or one of the other blu-rays I was interested in above. I have read the reviews, but am looking for a personal comment from someone who owns and can compare.

Thanks for reading!

300's PQ is pretty different. It has a different kind of style. If you want a pure crystal clear HD picture, I'd get The Dark Knight or Wall-e. Those are both must have Blu's.

There's a lot of movies with great PQ. The newer movies have the best PQ, and several real old movies look pretty good too.

Consider THE INCREDIBLE HULK also. Not only great PQ, but the audio is killer!

As Barone was saying, 300 does have a very unique, gritty look to it. It's got a lot of grain, so if you're looking for something super sharp and clean, go with one of the pixar movies or Transformers, they look amazing. And if you have a nice sound system, definitely go with Transformers!!

Otherwise, 300 and Sin City are pretty kickass on blu, and Sin City looks great!

Fellas, he already HAS these BDs. He's now considering either:

1) Transformers;
2) Sin City; or
3) A Pixar movie.

Of those, I'd go with Transformers if you have a good audio setup. If not, go with Sin City.

I strongly recommend the Bourne Trilogy and the Ultimate Matrix Collection; both have demo disc worth PQ and AQ, both have a healthful amount of special features (Don't worry, you won't have trouble playing with U-Control, and I'll bet you will get to know a lot with the In-Movie Experience function), and both contain pretty awesome blockbusters to add to your collection. Hope this would help.

If your considering a pixar movie I'd go with Wall-e, of the other movies your
considering, I'd go with Transformers, especially if you have uncompressed audio..

You might wanted to free trial rental with netflix or blockbuster, that way you can get to view the movie, if you really like them you can buy them. Because once you buy the blu-ray, you can't just return it back.
