Why shouldn't they? I thought 4 was good.

Just because one sequel is sub-par, that doesn't mean that they shouldn't be able to make more.

If "Empire Strikes Back" was disliked by a few people and they said they can't make another based on that, we wouldn't have "Return of the Jedi".
If they quit after making the second "naked gun" movie, we wouldn't have "naked gun: 33 1/3rd", which is by far the best of the 3 imo.

know what i'm saying? if the writers, producers, directors, studios, actors want to make another, LET THEM! By all means, I like quantity of choices.

Hollywood isn't spending our tax money or anything to make these films, they're spending ticket/home video money. So let them go wild.

Most people would kill to be as fit at 30 as Ford is at 68.

As much as I hate KOTCS, I'll see it at the first chance I get. Hopefully Koepp stays away from it.

My first Official Post!
I would like to see Indy back for another adventure. If it's going to be his last then have him go out on a high note! I would replace Shia Labouf with Josh Holloway (Sawyer from "Lost") and advance the timeline of the story a few more decades. I see a similarity between Josh and Harrison... I can't really explain it. Roguish charm? Something like that... And Josh could take over the lead and continue the adventures of the Jones boys!

I wasn't crazy about IV, but regardless it's Indy. I'm down for another one.

I think the 4th one is fitting in the series and temple of doom is just the odd one imo. Bring on the 5th.
Except that wasn't CGI....... I think people should learn the difference between using the terms CGi and Visual Effects. Too much people call any special effect CGI.

Now I am wondering just how many times they will re-release the series.
1-the trilogy is supposedly coming
2- the quadrilogy set to hype the 5th film
3- the pentology set when 5 comes out
4- the special edition where the rock comes down before Han- I mean Indy grabs the idol...

... couldn't resist

The more I think about it, the more I am optimistic about another Jones adventure.

As much as I hated the KOTCS I'll accept it as part of the Indiana Jones saga if they redeem themselves with this fifth film. I hope we get to see Indy as we once saw him. I think they want to prove the critics and fans wrong this time around and I think they'll do it.

I am happy they are making another one, most likely the last one. I did not hate Indy 4, it was way better then Temple Of Doom IMO right up there with Last Crusade. Sure it wasn't Raiders, that one is truly in another class but it was a fun typical Indy movie with tons of impossible stunts and cheesie lines and vilains.

And for those who hated Indy 4, here is a simple advice for you, don't go see the next one.

Indy is probably my favorite movie character so I'm definitely down for a 5th. I was worried they wouldn't do a V after all the hate towards IV (which I still really enjoyed), so if this ends up becoming official I'll be super happy. Plus I imagine they'll take in to consideration where IV went wrong and V will be better written sending Indy off/concluding in a positive light.

Agreed. I hope that if they do make this, it's better than the last. If it were my call, however, I wouldn't make it. The last one was a travesty to the franchise IMO.

New movies don't "ruin" classics. Don't like them? Don't watch them.

Default Indiana Jones V Script Being Written (Indy's Next Adventure "Finalized")

Quote:
September 14, 2009 - It sounds like Indiana Jones V is coming together a lot quicker than the last installment, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, did.

"The story for the new Indiana Jones is in the process of taking form," Indiana Jones himself, Harrison Ford, told French publication Le Figaro, via People.

He continued, "Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and myself are agreed on what the fifth adventure will concern, and George is actively at work. If the script is good, I'll be very happy to put the costume on again"
What adventure would you like to see Indy go on next?

(My answer: Retirement )

I think it would be best for them to return to religious artifacts. I did not hate iv but it really just did not have the magic, for lack of a better word, as the other ones.
