COD4 online unplayable - Page 2 - Blu-ray Forum

I was just logging on this morning to ***** about this. Every map I played yesterday had at least 2. I actually had to play the game

because online was pissing me off. Watching all these no clips fools fly around or have someone cornered and shoot the crap out of them and have them show up on the other side of the wall and smoke you. I always hated the martyrdom perks, but this is another whole bunch of BS.

This one guy wasnt even hiding it, I woudl shoot his azz everytime I saw him floating buy.

I am e4sph anytime any of you want to play.

I noticed that people cheated, but yesterday afternoon I signed on to play a wholesome game of Modern Warfare, in every match until I signed off there was at least one person cheating. I'd kill them and in two minutes they'd be back again.

The kill cam helps tracking them down and killing them.

Success! A patch is in the works for PS3 and Xbox 360 to address the recent COD4 exploits. I'll keep you posted on the progress. 8 minutes ago

I really hope so, I tried playing yesterday and after 3 games I had to stop, its getting really bad

I hope it reverts the ones who changed their files to lvl1 with a big star next to their names....Then they will go into a cage match with a buddy and do headshots for the next month

That seems quite minor...

I would say, reset there stats and permaban there psn account and Mac ID for there ps3.

Hell I got $40 on half.com just about a month ago for this used.

BTW guys, IW has stated that they are looking into it. No ETA though.

The PSN account would be interesting. But, would the MAC ban work if the PS3 is behind a NAT router? (If so, bad news for the unlucky soul who buys a naughty, used PS3)

So does World of War have these problems? I was going to pick it up while I waited for MW2. I don't want to spend the money if people are out there cheating.

I could Have been mean and say Ban him/her at the ISP level.. But that wouldn't be nice..

While I don't play COD4.. I have absolutely no love for hackers/cheaters who go around ruining online games...

People without some sorta dignity and honor should not be permitted to breath... toothless cowards.

In C&C renegade some hackers hacked there local files for the engineer class and gave them 1 shot destroy any unit any vehicle with a single pistol round / The weakest weapon in the game... and c4 that always blew up a building on 1 shot.

My friend also told me you can also cheat by lowering your connection speed (or something like that) so you appear to lag to other players, but you see everyone else as normal. has anyone seen anything like this?

Yes it really is! its cool if you lag because of bad connection, but to do it on purpose just to rack up kills is really annoying.

I actually ran into my first modder/hacker last night. He was floating around and he couldnt be killed unless he landed onto the map. Well, he ended up only doing 8-3 and I called him out on it.

Next game he quit before the match got half way through.

And FYI:
For the Overgrown glitch into the rocks, you can use the "Demolitions" default class and shoot a rocket right a the rocks to kill whoever is in there.

I'm assuming most of the gamers taking advantage of the hacks are grade school kids/tweens.

Hard to imagine a 30/40 (years old) something gamer go to this length just to gloat to some kid on how he got owned. lol.
