This is really a great question because for me I hold it as an indicator that a movie might turn out to be a favorite of mine. It's happened to me on two occasions.
Batman Begins and American Psycho. For each of those movies, I literally restarted the movie after it finished and watched the entire thing over again. It usually comes over me as a natural impulse than really a cognitive decision, because it normally wouldn't make sense. But they turned out to be two of my favorite movies. I also saw 300 three times during the first week of it's release (one of them in IMAX) EDIT: I've also obviously done this with commentaries, but I wouldn't count that on the same level, because it is more of a special feature than watching it for the actual feature. You mentioning that reminded me about Jungle Book, and Pocohontas..... watched them each twice in one day (different days than each other though)
He's the age that he'll watch "Curious George" on one PBS station, then watch the same episode on the other PBS station 2 hours later, and I can't tell if he realizes he just saw it or not!!!!! Usually he only gets an hour of T.V. in the morning.... then 30 minutes during lunch though.... but sometimes he'll see the same show during that time. |

Great question.
I actually watched T2 on blu back to back. I had the Skynet edition and original... I wanted to compare a few scenes how they looked but man it was so good in the beginning I let it run all the way through. I watched Shawshank Redemption 4 times in a row in one day. I also watched The Two Towers twice in a row on one day. The only movie I saw twice in THEATER in the same day was Stargate! Those were the days. |

All of my Concert BD's get 2 showings in a row at least. Once with the Video and once with only Audio. With Video I usually use multi-channel, but when I'm just listening to it it's always only 2-channel. When I got the David Gilmour BD I must have replayed that puppy about 5-6 times that day.
For movies, in recent memory, only BARAKA have I played right after the first viewing. I was absolutely mesmerized by the AQ/PQ. John |

I saw Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen back-to-back in the theatre on opening day. I went with one set of friends at 3:30 and another set at 7:00. Loved it both times.
Hm, I'm starting to wonder if I might be a little obsessed with the Transformers films ![]() |

I'm surprised no one has mentioned this, but how about A Christmas Story? It plays all Christmas day on TBS. I've probably watched it 3 or 4 times in one day.

This reminded me of when I first saw The Usual Suspects. Once it ended I was like, "WTF? OK...what?" So I watched it again right away.

not sure how many times ive done this, but its always been to watch, then rewatch with commentary, i do it mostly for comedies though, movies and tv shows i have on dvd/blu, i like to do it because sometimes the commentary is even funnier that whats happening on the screen
