Changed my gear around so I can now see everything under my screen ! Even put my glass cabinets with the figures in the back of the room.

I've only had the projector for 4 days and I've been going crazy on the movie watching. What day are we ? LOL...it's extremely fun and I can't get enough. Checked out your gallery, great gear ! I'm especially jealous of your Bourne and Matrix boxes. I'm waiting til they come down in price a bit.

I know what you mean on the projector. It was suppose to be a weekend ordeal and I'd watch most of movies in my bedroom to perserve the bulb so to speak. Got some classes starting so I need to get a new screen for my mac mini so I can go back to way it was when I had an imac and had movies playing also. The projector will then take a back seat to my bedroom tv.

Very nice setup you have there. I especially love the movie collectibles. You also have the same seating that I have, just in a different color. I left you a rating and comment in your gallery. Check mine out if you get the chance.

I like it. Your sofa is very much like mine. Check out my gallery to see the install job I did on some bass shakers in mine. It could work out great for yours too.

Here's a suggestion or two......

If you have the throw distance, and your projector is capable of it, I'd do the next screen acoustically transparent..... you look like you have a long enough room for an even bigger screen.

Also, I would get some black-out-cloth, staple it to the back of a frame, paint the frame and black-out-cloth black or red or whatever combination of colors you want, and then hang it from hooks above the window on the right (or make a couple if there are more than one window on that side)

This would be an easy window treatment to put up, and take down, for movies.... it looks like your roll-down blind is still letting light into the room. If you make the frame 6 inches larger than the window opening on all sides, no more light will come in.

It may not bother you though.... who knows..... I just know that the smallest sliver of light bugs the heck out of me!!!!!

EDIT:

Nevermind.... I just looked at the pictures again, and that screen is pretty much as big as you can get there.... I thought you had more room on the sides..... I'd still address the window(s) though.

Thanks ! Yes love the couch and it's exactly like yours except for the material it's made out of. Yours seems to be out of leather while mine is a velvety type material. Love your setup, especially the closet. Always wanted one of those ! Maybe one day I'll build one. I see you have collectibles too and that Solo costs a year's salary LOL. Ok maybe not but you get my drift. Left you a rating also.

Like your setup ! What's the panel in the couch compartment ? I'm assuming you have the sub in the couch ?

The screen has about 7-8 inches on each side that are open. It doesn't seem like it on the pics cuz it's dark and it blends in. The speakers are only a bit covered and haven't had any problems with the sound. Still sounds great. The window doesn't bother me but I should of went bigger for the blind and eventually I will get around to putting a curtain or blackout cloth as you state.

That is an amp made for those who like to build their own subs. Since it's designed to flush mount on the back of a sub... I just cut a hole in my console and dropped the amp in there. It powers a pair of Aura bass shakers mounted to the underside of my sofa.

Looking good....I just got a sub so I might build a riser this weekend myself if I'm feeling ambitious.

We shall see...I need to figure out something I like first. Pitbullmikes riser on his supercube I is something in the direction I'll go for. How you like your dt supercube? I just put my supercube 2 to the test tonight with dark knight and was I ever impressed with the bass from such a small sub. Need to find my saw and other wood cutting tools if i'm going to build this riser.

I like the sub if it's near the couch. Then it gives off great bass. If I put it at the other end of the room then it doesn't seem adequate and not bassy enough. BUT, that might be because I had no bass traps and the room is pretty bare as far as elements to soak in the bass. There was only the couch really. Now the real test will come with the riser I guess.
