I thought it was an HMV exclusive?

Good quality transfer?
Not a digipack.
It's a good quality transfer. Hooper wanted this film to look as good as possible, and I'd say this release has got it right. Still looks beat-up in places, but also sharper and more colourful; particularly in exterior shots.

Mr. Brightside, did your copy arrive not factory sealed like mine?

By the way, for those wondering this release is supposed to be exclusive until early next year, at which time it will be made available everywhere.

Thanks for your reply.
I checked the disc, and thankfully it's fine. Unfortunately more and more online stores think it's OK to send previously returned copies to customers, sold as new. In the last month or so, I received clearly used copies (full of fingerprints, scratches, and some even with ripped covers or broken cases) from DVD.co.uk, Amazon.co.uk, Play.com, TheHut.com and HMV.co.uk. For someone like me, who likes to keep his discs in great condition, it's almost heartbreaking...

As for the Texas Chainsaw Massacre disc, it's awesome. The transfer looks surprisingly great, and the hours of extras (all extras from the US release + 40 minutes or so of interviews) are almost overkill. It's a great release.

I went into HMV this week and seen all the copies of this wasn't factory sealed. I'm gonna wait for Play.com to release theirs which is late November.

Yes, it's a terrific release and does full justice to a genre classic.
Really bad to read that you've had such problems from online retailers who really should know better.
