Wow, this is awesome...thats great that it is built so well.

I only hope these Bluray drives are built half as good, considering my brother went through like 3 PS2's because of read failures....

they are less wobble from the disc and since its a (CLV)optical drive its nothing to worry about the (CLV) Optical drives have a very good reliability. so yes they can fail like anything. but the chances of failure are lower than a (Cav) optical drive such as a playstation 2 DVD optical drive. besides now days even DVD (CAV) optical drives are pretty reliable as is even now. i still have my big playstation 2 ,and playstation 1, and a thin line playstation 2 all work got then on release day. , i gave my wife my new thin playstation 2. she loves the sims

Thanks for the explanation!! That's awesome, I hope the PS3 lasts for a long time since I love it, and its ability to rock out Blurays and DVDs in excellent fashion.

Of course if you show a miniscule little picture of the 360 hardware next to three enormous pics of the PS3 hardware, the PS3 will look much eminent.

I just found that funny, the PS3 is pretty damn sexy though.

hey i can tell you the xbox360's heat sink does not take up nearly almost the whole size of the machine. the HEAT SINK and fan that the playstation 3 USES is a monster. look at the size of the heat sink compared to a persons hands that ought to tell you something right there.
a massive plate for a heat sink ..or 3 normal size PC heat sinks...
OR (2) 40 MM FANS
OR (1) 160 MM FAN

Red face stop pointing the finger you looking stupid Microsoft

i mean look at this Quote From Microsoft rep:

Several high-profile system-exclusive games are coming out for the PlayStation in the next year, including the widely anticipated spy action title "Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots," dragon-riding shoot-'em-up "Lair," and the social online experiment, "PlayStation Home." But those won't be out for a while, so is a PlayStation the best choice?

"If you just want it for the games, not really," Greenwald said. "The Xbox 360 Elite is still cheaper."

this:
"The Xbox 360 Elite is still cheaper."

http://www.nydailynews.com/money/200...0_lower-2.html

as this post proved just that is why you have such a % of system failures Microsoft. pretty good game's for the xbox360 no doubt...but the system needs to be overhauled in design

I think they should start selling the 360's in a six pack.. When your first one fails you'll have 5 left, which will last you a month a peice until you get a referbished on back.
