I'll Second That Emotion (Love R&B as well)! Then again, I like just about everything as long as it's good music.

Some of my fave bands (since others are listing them) are: The Beatles, Pink Floyd, Supertramp, 10cc, King Crimson, The Moody Blues, Fiori-Seguin (french-canadian), Harmonium (french-canadian), Neil Young, The Doors, Steely Dan, The Eagles....and I better stop now!

I do like some indie/alternative too though.

I don't see grunge on the list, but I do like Pearl Jam and Nirvana.
